The Willis Towers Watson Risk & Analytics team in Asia has an exciting opportunity for an experienced offshore engineer to build on their industry experience and commercial skills to move into the risk management consulting arena.

The Risk & Analytics team provides technical risk assessment and advice to a top tier client base of Asian and Global companies. The role will involve significant regional travel and lead to your involvement in a wide range of consulting activities including risk assessments, insurance underwriting surveys, training assignments, construction and project reviews, commercial discussions and business development.

The basic job description is summarised below but will only be limited by the ability and ambition of the candidate to expand and progress upwards to more senior roles:

1. Arrange and conduct risk engineering surveys and/or risk assessment consulting visits to client facilities. Coordinate and manage the execution of facility surveys potentially in conjunction with and/or leading a team of underwriter engineering representatives.
2. Prepare clearly written risk assessment reports following each survey or project risk assessment to assist in the placement of client insurance programmes. These reports to contain key understanding of the hazards at offshore production and support facilities, and opinion on how asset management teams are controlling and mitigating their impact. Presentation of risk improvements and potential commercial loss calculations are also required.
3. Ensure that proposed risk improvement recommendations are clearly defined and technically based and referenced.
4. Maintain technical competency in offshore oil and gas industry sector and keep up-to-date with risk management developments (e. g. attend seminars, review technical publications, etc.).
5. Expand risk understanding and support services to on-shore oil, gas and chemical facilities.
6. Support Willis business development and growth through technical knowledge sharing, contribution to business proposals and leveraging industry contacts and network.

Skills

The successful candidate will be qualified to degree level with supporting professional qualification and memberships. At least five years previous experience in the offshore oil and gas or related industries is essential, ideally in an operational, safety or loss prevention role. Demonstrate a deep understanding of operational, maintenance and safety disciplines as they relate to off-shore operations. Knowledge/experience of insurance and/or risk management would be an advantage but us not essential. Previous experience as an auditor or surveyor would also be beneficial.

You must be able to work unsupervised and have a high level of verbal and written communication skills in mandarin and English. 举报 分享
