Systems Analyst -IT Security Asia Pacific

SPECIFIC JOB CONTENT

This position is for an IT Security professional to be located in the Asia-Pacific Region who will be an integral member of the Company Corporate IT (CIT) Security Team. The CIT Security Team has global responsibility for ensuring the security of Company Company’s data, networks, computers, and applications that support all of Company’s business units. In addition, the CIT Security Team is responsible for SAP Security and the prevention of fraud due to excessive access.

Specifically, this person will be a member of the CIT Asia Security Operations team and will work on security operations & projects for systems and users anywhere in Company Co. during their working day. This will be follow-the-sun support model where the Asian security team will take over full operations during their business day and can be on-call for after hours support as needed. Additionally, the Asia security team will be locally responsible for working closely with IT staff to address regional security issues within the already established CIT Security solutions and policies, be a liaison between the regional business’ security needs and work as a part of the Global IT security team to address these needs, and provide ongoing security awareness to ensure local understanding of policies and procedures. In addition, this person or someone on the team will be a liaison on SAP Security needs between local development teams and the CIT SAP Security team. This position is expected to participate in all aspects of IT/Network security to include areas such as standard security technologies (Firewall, Antivirus, Antispam, authentication methods, content filtering, IPS/IDS, VPNs, etc.), policy enforcement, build & maintenance procedures, documentation of standards, assessing security vulnerabilities and proposing solutions, ensuring business critical applications are deployed & maintained in a secure manner, incident response/CIRT, security event management/correlation, data privacy, etc. The CIT Security Team interacts with numerous departments and multiple levels of employees and management. SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES

？ Work closely with rest of Corporate IT (CIT) Security team to ensure all security protection measures, policies, and procedures, including general IT standards, are implemented and functioning as planned throughout the Asia-Pacific region as well as globally. Research virus outbreaks, vulnerabilities, and other suspected security problems globally and work with/advise local IT staff on how to fix the issues. Assist in IT Security projects that have been approved by Director-IT Security. Configure, maintain, and troubleshoot all security technologies to ensure applications, users, systems, and the network continue to operate securely and in a globally consistent manner. Regional variances must be kept to a minimum to ensure consistent operations of fault-tolerant/automated technologies, processes, and support by any of the CIT Security staff.

？ Meet with local users throughout Asia-Pacific, IT staff, and business leaders as appropriate to understand local needs as affected by security and work with the rest of the security team to address the needs. Also keep this same group informed of security policies and procedures and be willing to evangelize security as a business enabler and protection measure.

？ As possible keep abreast of regional laws and practices that might affect how Company handles data, implements technologies, and addresses policy violations. This knowledge is expected to be gained via keeping current with security industry publications, working with other security professionals in region, and in discussions with regional legal and human resource teams. Also keep current in IT Security trends and technologies by reading/following security industry publications and networking with other security professionals.

？ Be a liaison with the CIT SAP Security team to gather local needs and ensure addressed by the US based team. Assist in educating local staff in SAP security practices.

？ Assist with operational usage & design of KIMS (Company Identity Management System) workflows and if appropriately skilled, program basic workflows in PHP as approved by the KIMS team.

？ Periodically visit sites throughout Asia-Pacific to learn about their operations, educate on security issues specific to that area, and ensure compliance to policies and standards. Perform security technology implementation or updates per the approved global CIT Security project portfolio or operational duties.

？ Provide spirited, positive input when working on projects, issue resolution, and prevention improvements. Challenge obsolete practices; question accepted truths.

？ Comply with systems development standards, procedures, guidelines, priorities, and schedules. When assigned to specific project development activities, develop detail system and program specifications. Develop system documentation and user procedures. Prepare test data. Coordinate/perform system and program testing. Coordinate/perform system and program implementation and modification. Research systems and programs to determine causes of failure or poor operational performance; then define, test and implement detailed solutions. Provide documentation and inputs to including general design review, project scheduling, test plan, system and program tactics and methods, system controls, procedures, documentation, and system implementation plan.

？ Assist in providing inputs for project review meetings and management presentations.

？ Provide analysis, counsel, and direction to personnel on other teams or business units to analyze security problems on their projects and advise on how they are to securely deploy & maintain their solutions. Maintain an understanding of business processes and the implications of computer systems on these processes.

？ Assist or direct, schedule, and coordinate the efforts of IT user and vendor personnel assigned to a specific security projects.

？ Prepare and publish status reports and metrics.

？ Participate in educational programs and professional societies involving security technologies, threats, and trends. Stay current with IT technology usage and trends.

？ Conduct educational programs involving company personnel relating to specific projects.

？ Perform other related duties as assigned.

RELATIONSHIPS AND CONTACT

Supervisory Relationships:

？ Reports to the leader of the CIT Security Asia Pacific Operations Team.

？ Internal Organization Relationships:

？ Frequent contact with rest of CIT Security Team.

？ Frequent contact with IT staff in numerous locations and with internal business users.

？ Periodic contact with Internal Audit, legal departments, and Human Resources

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS

？ Bachelor’s degree required preferably in Information Technology, Business, Supply Chain or related field. Under some circumstances Associate Degree in Information Technology and minimum 3 years experience will be accepted.

？ Minimum of 3 years work experience in IT consisting of at least 1-2 years doing windows systems administration and 1 year additional experience configuring and maintaining IT Security technologies such as firewalls, intrusion detection systems, antivirus, web filtering, and security information and event management systems .

？ Working knowledge of network technologies & DNS.

？ The ability to read, write, and speak English and Mandarin.

？ The ability to read, write, and speak any other languages besides English and Mandarin is a strong plus.
