JOB PURPOSE
Responsible for business development within the territory (China & Europe), align with the strategy of BD management and Bansard global vision and mission
JOB RESPONSIBILITY
- Actively generate sales leads and communicate to overseas counterparts
-Create a customer target list which is aligned with Overseas offices/agents and Products
-Develop prospect customers and new lanes and align with the relevant stakeholders
-Responsible for own target accounts to develop and retain (GP, GPI, Volume)
- Achieve sales plan objectives with personal targets (GP, GPI, Volume) by effectively selling Bansard products (International Transportation, domestic transportation & Express service in Europe)
-Primary sales contact for particular route / country pairings for China - Europe
--Educate local sales staff through joint calls
--Escalate pricing and market issues on target accounts
- Report on market information, competitor activities, product issues etc.
- Monitor results on a regular basis & support implementation
FUCTIONAL REQUIREMENTS
-Functional know-how of air and ocean freight
-In depth knowledge of the market covering Europe
-Market knowledge (customers, competitors, suppliers)
PERSONALITY TRAITS
-Strong communicator both written and verbal, listening and presentation
-Able to close a sale and expand our business by effectively negotiating with decision-makers internally & externally
-Ability to define problems, provide analysis and implement solutions
-International mind-set
EDUCATIONAL BACKGROUND/WORK EXPERIENCE
-University degree in business or logistics is preferred
-3-5 years industry experience, preferably in both operations and sales functions
