PURPOSE AND OBJECTIVES
The Global Partner Services Delivery (PSD) organization is part of SAP’s Ecosystem & Channels organization.
PSD provides its personalized services to the volume of SAP partners worldwide, such as Services Partners, Channel Resellers and Technology partners.
For our regional team of the Asia-Pacific-Japan (APJ) region in Chengdu (China), we are seeking a Senior Database & Technology Specialist, who is developing and delivering a service portfolio across the SAP & SYBASE Database & Technology product and solution range.
The key objective of this role is to increase the D&T product- and solution adoption of SAP’s partners (ISV’s, Resellers, Service Partners, OEM…etc.) and by consequence contribute to the indirect revenue growth of the company.
This role defines the specialization strategy of PSD around Database & Technology critical to the success of our Partner Ecosystem and provides functional guidance to a team of Partner Services Advisors and various SAP stakeholders in the APJ region.
The Database & Technology Specialist closely collaborates with a global team of Database & Technology Specialists, partner managers and other subject matter experts.

EXPECTATIONS AND TASKS
• Drive the End-to-End Service Portfolio Process for Database and Technology enablement related assets (Service Identification, Service Program Development, Service Delivery, Service Feedback)
• Engages with other PSD global experts for service development and delivery
• Development of innovative enablement services to create value for our partners
• Develop a solid and mutually beneficial working relationship with key stakeholder (e.g.Solution Center, Field Management, Solution Management, Marketing)
• Develop and implement strategies to expand the value of PSD Service Portfolio for Database and Technology and business model to partners and SAP internal stakeholders
• Advise partner facing SAP business units on the implementation of a scalable partner service framework
• Executes Service Reporting, ensuring transparency and efficiency of the regional activities in APJ

EDUCATION AND QUALIFICATIONS / SKILLS AND COMPETENCIES
• Business/IT Degree or equivalent
• Ability to navigate and communicate effectively with diverse, remote groups in a large software company
• Must be an active and quick learner, good team player and an effective problem-solver,self-motivated; able to work independently
• Good delivery skills including teaching and facilitating capabilities
• Knowledge of the Database & Technology strategies and products (Data Management,Sybase ASE, SAP HANA, etc.)
• Fluency in spoken & written English is a must

WORK EXPERIENCE
• Minimum 3 years professional experience in the IT/Software industry
• Background in a Customer-, Partner- and/or Field Service related area has clear advantage
• Experience in the Database application industry a clear advantage
• Experience in rollout of business initiatives & programs
