Picture Quality Engineer

Marvell Semiconductor Inc. is currently looking for highly qualified Picture Quality (PQ) Engineers
The successful candidates will be primarily responsible for optimizing the algorithms for Marvell's
industry-leading next generation video processor to improve PQ, including analog video decoder, noise
reduction, scaling, de-interlacing, sharpness enhancement, color enhancement, frame rate conversion,
2D-to-3D conversion, etc. You will be working closely with Software, Hardware, Systems and Algorithm
teams on a variety of tuning/debugging/verification topics. You will be responsible for tuning the
algorithms to achieve optimal quality in customer environment, and debug/develop software at
middle/low-level drivers and tuning tools, and also involve in collecting and incorporating customer
feedbacks on PQ.

Responsibilities:
Understand video processing technologies for digital entertainment applications.
Work with a general understanding of competing technologies in the area of focus.
Optimize/tune the algorithms to meet customer expectation on PQ.
Debug/develop tuning tools and software at middle/low-level drivers.
Support onsite customers (domestic and international travel) during the product development stages.

Requirements:
BSc or MSc Degree in Electrical or Computer Engineering (or equivalent) and 2+ years related
experience.
Have good background in digital signal and image processing theory.
Must demonstrate proficiency in C/C++ programming skill.
Must have a methodical, detailed, and results-oriented approach to problem solving.
Must demonstrate good interpersonal and written communication skills, and operate with a
collaborative, team-oriented work ethic.

Considered a plus:
Experience with consumer electronics, and broadcast video.
Direct work experience within the consumer industry.
Knowledge of signal processing, including image/video processing.
