Objectives of the position

To plan and direct sales and marketing activities in a specific region or major geographic area in order to achieve agreed sales volume, pricing and selling cost objectives by implementing consistently the overall sales strategy, using technical, organizational and customer knowledge. In addition, provide inputs and participate in the marketing, market planning and technical development of products and services.

Representative Main Tasks

Implementation of the sales strategies

Take the responsibility to continuously improve the commercial results of the product portfolio according the strategies via product promotion/ introduction, proposals of marketing plans, analysis of and proposal of sales/ distribution channels, pricing proposals, analysis of market to support decision on future product development strategies, etc.

Define customer needs and product application to enhance achievements of

sales targets, expectations and needs.

Obtain and coordinate data and information from team members and member groups. Develop lists of potential customers after research of the data

? Establish and maintain industry contacts that lead to sales

? Provide inputs to determine the application of the agreed product and service by evaluating product and service marketability and customers' technical needs

? Maintain up-to-date understanding of industry trends and technical development that effect target markets

Customer management

? Maintain direct contact with customers' key personnel and work with customers and internal functions to resolve problems/ expedite matters. Handle progressively larger accounts as main sales contact and serve as secondary contact at large accounts to gain knowledge on these accounts.

? Work with successful/ efficient sales person to understand customers' profiles/needs/problems.

? Direct flow of information for sales activities ad transactions (leads, billings, order, contracts) and evaluate data to ensure assigned sales goals are met

Sales development

? Develop sales and marketing proposals to trace customers' needs on consumption analysis, product/ service performance, technical services needs

? Maintain up-to-date awareness of market activities, industry trends and recommend to supervisor modification/ changes of strategies/ practices.

Product promotion

? Deliver and/or participate sales presentations/ workshop/ trade road show/ workshops to promote/ introduce products/services

? May need to participate in a public relation and marketing communication campaign

Develop processes and procedures in technical aspects to ensure successful introduction of the

defined products

? Participate as part of a product launch team to ensure smooth introduction of the product in

customer serving processes

? Share with the sales and marketing team via reporting/ workshops the experience gained in

technical service laboratories/ manufacturing processes in proper application/ formulation

techniques

? Participate in or lead plant pilot scheme to gain actual production experience of using process

conditions to influence product end-use performance and share the experience with the team

? Support presentation/ seminars and workshops to launch products
