? Assist in defining business requirements and developing system specifications to solve business problems
? Provide consultation and guidance to client and development management and staff in all phases of solution development and implementation
? Conduct research and analysis to quantify business opportunities and issues.
? Works as an intermediary between business units to support business operations, Serves as subject matter expert associated with content, processes, and procedures
? Analyze and evaluates business needs and provides technical direction and recommendations to create or develop new functionality
? Analyze business needs and modify an existing functionality.
? Work on projects with a narrow to moderately wide (office, statewide, regional) scope involving multiple systems
? Works with business unit to address opportunities for improvements in processes and mitigate issues as they arise between business units through research and analysis.
? Resolution is typically well-defined
? Facilitates transfer of information and problem resolution between business units
? Provides supporting information and documentation as necessary
? Analyzes business flow and reports to make recommendations to management for improvements in information flow and systems set-up
? Assists with the development of formal recommendations for presentation to management
? Serves as liaison between business unit and IT Systems regarding project specifications

? Prepare business requirements specifications; document business practices, workflows, feasibility studies, cost projections and business needs
? Ability to carry out some level I & II process identification, definition and mapping
? Work with business unit to address opportunities for improvements in processes and to mitigate issues as they arise between business units. Resolution often requires problem solving skills because the issues are not documented.
? Facilitate transfers of information and problem resolution between business units. Provides information and documentation as necessary
? Lead support for the business in running User Acceptance Testing (UAT)
? Perform quality assurance testing of data content prior to production release
? Use a structured requirements process to assess near-term needs
? Ensure change management and communication of change is done in a systematic way for projects where initial requirements may evolve during the lifecycle of the project
? Develop relationships with the internal customer by being proactive, displays a thorough understanding of their business, and provides innovative business solutions
? Develop formal recommendations for presentation to management that may impact business policies
? Contribute and develop BSD’s Knowledge Management & Best Practice function
