Key Roles and Responsibilities:

• The E_Drive System Engineer will work on motor and its control system position to support the product development of hybrid electric and battery electric vehicles in Ford motor company, vehicle launch on-site support and quality improvement;
• Assist in development of plans, strategies, requirements and process for motor and its control system;
• Assist in permanent magnet motor design and manufacturing process optimization;
• Lead design and development motor control system for hybrid or pure electric vehicle;
• Perform motor control system testing, calibration and optimize control strategy and parameters;
• Support system integration development up to vehicle level on time with quality;
• Lead motor and its control system data analysis for quality improvement with cross function team;
• Support motor and controller's material selections and supplier evaluations;
• Lead motor controlling system lab test setup and regular maintenance.

Experience and Background Skills Desired:

• Bachelor or higher degree in motor engineering, motor control engineering, power electronics, electrical & electronics, automation engineering, is preferred;
• Good knowledge of motor working principle, AC/DC, DC/DC power electronics, DSP, power supply;
• Range of 1-10 years of hands-on experience in electrical and electronics control system design, testing, manufacturing, process, is preferred;
• Extensive experience in converter, inverter design, is preferred
• Good knowledge of modeling and simulation technology, such as Ansoft, CAD, Matlab, Labview, Simulink or dSpace, etc;
• Excellent project management skill, is preferred
• Good knowledge of hybrid vehicle or pure electric vehicle;
• Good English skills in writing, reading, listening and speaking;
• Willing to trip in domestic and oversea;
• Excellent teamwork and communication skills;
• Self-motivated with the ability to manage multiple tasks.
