职位描述
POSITION OBJECTIVE:
To assess capabilities of prospective suppliers and to source and negotiate pricing and terms for parts used by ADS Nanjing production and aftermarket functions.
PRINCIPAL RESPONSIBILITIES:
Assist in areas of assignment and carry out designated responsibilities in areas such as, but not limited to:
Develop strategic plan to manage supply base for assigned commodities and to achieve goals of quality, delivery and cost improvement for both production and aftermarket requirements.
Develop contracts and manage relationships with key suppliers to provide a stable product supply and year-over-year cost reduction.
Research and evaluate potential suppliers (technically and financially) to meet Atlas Copco's needs to drive continuous improvement, including international suppliers.
Conduct line review events and reverse auctions if applicable.
Evaluate and monitor performance of existing ADS Nanjing's suppliers and take corrective actions as required.
Consolidate supply base to best performing suppliers.
Serve as a member and/or leader for working teams, as required.
Understand supplier manufacturing processes and help suppliers change those processes to improve quality and reduce lead times.
Evaluate PPV and Buy to Buy and take action to meet budget through market analysis, supplier negotiation, and program development.
Monitor supplier capacity and Call-off actions; initiate changes as required.
Perform make/buy analysis for potential commodity outsourcing.
As required, participate on teams for new product development, inventory reduction, process improvement, etc. ? Actively support Atlas Copco lead buyer world-wide strategy initiatives through leadership of and/or participation on corporate teams.
Ensure that payment and quality issues are resolved in a timely manner.
Initiate and complete administrative requirements such as writing engineering change requests, loading quotations, etc. as required to ensure parts and pricing are available.
Can well coordinate sourcing, D&D and supplier to finish sourcing tasks as project schedule request.
Problem Solving:
Position requires development of business contracts which protect Atlas Copco's interests and meet our needs considering product cost, reliability of supply, inventory optimization, warranty recovery and private branding.
Incumbent must understand manufacturing processes and be able to create solutions to improve quality and reduce lead times in the suppliers' processes.
Sourcing of obsolete products requires creativity to identify options and select the best alternative considering inventory impact, cost, and customer service.
New product development requires selection of capable suppliers and analysis of sourcing at component versus assembly level.
Knowledge:
Broad understanding of business operations and financial analysis.
Good knowledge related to business contracts.
Background in manufacturing techniques including machining and fabrication, ability to read engineering drawings, and effective communication skills. Requires strong writing, administrative and analysis skills.
Computer Skills Required - MS Office Suite, Access database development, MRP systems (SAP, Movex, Scala, etc.) and data extraction
International purchasing experience preferred.
Formal Education Requirement:
BS Engineering degree required
Solid knowledge about engineering and different manufacturing processes
Fluency in English required.
At least 3 year s of sourcing experience.
