Major Responsibilities:

• Responsible for tire development for new vehicle program in APA region.
• Work with vehicle dynamic / attribute team to set up Tire target letter for vehicle program.
• Work with suppliers to design and develop tires to meet all requirements;
• Lead design review with tire suppliers after each submission test, and drive for improvement.
• Lead implementation of Ford product development process / quality operating system and ensure the milestone deliverables to be completed on time with quality;
• Participate in Ford global tire engineering team discussion representing APA. Follow Ford global tire design rules and other tire strategy.
• Liaise with Ford global core engineering resource, design activities, and program teams.
• Resolve issues and manage engineering changes during commodity launch and in mass production
• Final engineering sign off on tires.
• Responsible for tire related issue solving.
• Responsible for APA tire supplier development.

Qualification Requirements:

• Bachelor Degree or above in Automobile/Mechanical Engineering required;
• Minimum of 3 years tire engineering (design and development) experience.
• Knowledge in tire manufacturing process
• Experience in Quality/Reliability process including B/P diagram, FMEA, Design Verification Planning & Reports and Global 8D;
• Knowledge in PFMEA and control plans.
• Understand Automotive suspension system preferred.
• Tire design and verification process and test planning/execution preferred.
• Willing to take more responsibility, willing to help others to finish assignments
• Be Proactive.
