Description of position duties / responsibilities and major activities performed:
? Co ordinate the Lean function to promote principles of Lean manufacture, " Champion" a continuous improvement environment/culture
? Identify opportunities for flow and pull production to eliminate waste
? Work with Stanley KAIZEN consultants and Stanley Corporate Lean office
? Work through Production Manager and Business Unit Managers to implement Lean
? Encourage and Lead Lean activities and Data based analysis
? Change agent to promote, inform and Train all aspects of Lean
? Establish value stream-mapping for plant/product processes
? Planning and timetabling improvement activities
? Establish and implement training and development programs in Lean
? Achieve targets identified within the Lean program
? Install data driven continuous improvement ethos in "Teams" through time reduction
Qualifications (Education, Knowledge & Skills, Experience, Personal Characteristics, Special Needs):
Essential / Required:
? Toyota Production System or other Advanced manufacturing techniques
? Fast moving manufacturing environment, preferably in a line management role
? Proven track record in manufacturing culture change
? Involvement in the Training and development of employees
? College or above Degree level
? IT Literate
