Main responsibilities:

1. Patent filing process management:

1) Be responsible to collect the raw materials from inventors for patent application document drafting.

2) Draft patent application

3) Prosecuting patent including response to Office Action.

4) Prosecution documents management

2. Conduct patentability and Freedom-To-Operate analysis for technologies:

1) Ensure business requirement

2) Ensure high IP quality leads going through the pipeline

3) Perform clearance and validity investigations and participate in assessing the level of risk in on-going product development efforts

4) Support Legal Director in other areas, e.g. IP training

3. Patent analysis:

1) Patent validity analysis

2) Patent infringement analysis

3) Support IP due diligence in business transactions, e.g. joint ventures and acquisitions




Requirements:

1. Critical Knowledge

1) MS / PhD in semiconductor or photovoltaic solar engineering with at least 3 years of working experience in the IP field.

2) Understanding of the Chinese Patent Practice.

3) Understanding of PCT application.

4) Understanding of USA and European Patent Practice is strongly preferred.

2. Critical Experience

1) At least 3-5 years of working experience as a patent agent/attorney in a patent/law firm or in a multinational company, or other similar working experience;

2) The Chinese patent agent certificate is not critical, but is preferred.

3) Experience of patent analysis and patent drafting is advantageous.

4) Experience of patent prosecution in an international law firm is another advantageous.
