Position Summary:
Responsible for overall management of Planning process.
Develop media strategies and ensure they are properly executed.
Full understanding of the client’s business and category issues.
Ensure proper media briefs are received before media planning projects are initiated.
Main Responsibility:
As planning team leader to manage all day-to-day client business/requests.

Group responsibility for all implementational briefs.
In-depth knowledge of available research (in-house, client, other) and strategic analysis thereof to develop more effective media strategies.
Ensure competitive reviews are properly executed and that they are strategically relevant for the client. Ensure that they demonstrate key learnings/insights and contribute where necessary.
Develop media strategies independently with the team under the supervision of director, and ensure they are properly executed.
Development of detailed proposals, plans to execute the agreed strategy – budget allocation by channel, media weights, phasing etc.
Responsibility for efficient and accurate paperwork within the group.
On-going response planning to all significant marketplace/internal changes.
Ensure that planned objectives are being monitored.
Ensure all agreed reports are supplied and presented to clients on time.
Continually think creatively and identify new, innovative opportunities that could be effectively used by clients. Encourage creativity amongst the rest of the Planning team.
Be knowledgeable and analyse key developments/trends/issues in media. Present to clients and keep the rest of the team informed.
Initiate own projects/analyses that would be of benefit to client
Challenge thinking from clients, media vendors and other disciplines in a positive and constructive manner (always in line with the best interests for the client’s business and brands).
Overall management of the planning process (including the approval processes). Follow-through on projects from beginning to end, take full responsibility and lead the process.
Requirements:
Overall team leadership and management, including to train, develop and motivate the Planning team – encouraging creativity.
Good command of English and Chinese.
Good at using monitoring tools and industry syndication research and proprietary consumer research data such as PDD.
As champion of proprietary consumer insight and planning tools and system including BrandZ, Relationship Media, Live, etc.
Develop and maintain strong client relationships with parallel pyramid.
Develop and maintain strong agency/team relationships.
Develop and maintain good relationships with media reps.
Effective team player.
Ability to present and lead a meeting in both languages. A clear understanding of whom is responsible for taking minutes in a meeting, who will do the contact report and who is responsible for the follow-up.
Good organisational skills in handling a number of projects at the same time, being able to set priorities, keep to deadlines, work effectively under time pressure.
