Scope：
 Design concepts and technical presentations generated to develop solutions for customers and communicate requirements to the Business Unit (Product Manager, Marketing Manager and Engineering Manager)
 This person will be an independent, field based worker within the levels of authority established by the Marketing Manager. Supervision and guidance will be interactive and provided as needed, including trip plans, accounts and geographies.
 This person will be accountable for the following numeric metric:
o Number of New Products introduced by the business unit
o Responsiveness and follow-up of designs for customers
o CRM Opportunity Pipeline value
o Number of Design Wins
 Breadth of accountability:
o Regional accountability for customers in defined geography
o Global product (RF/Microwave) accountability for design input / solutions based on RF centers of excellence.
o Will be the primary technical resource for GSM, Customers and Business Development Managers. At times, may act as a Liaison between the GSM/Customer/BDM and the engineering/manufacturing locations within the BU.
 Creative Thinking and Problem Solving skills will be used to develop solutions to customer interconnect problems.
 
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. Promotes and provides technical engineering support for Molex by interacting with customer engineers (mechanical and electrical) and program/project leaders in ways that result in successful new product opportunities/solutions and increased revenues.
2. Builds successful engineering and marketing contacts and working relationships at all key areas of the customer that establishes Molex as a technical leader in the areas outlined by management directives and strategic initiative planning.
3. Gains understanding of customer requirements and translates those requirements into initial concepts, product designs and Molex technical proposals.
4. Assists the sales force and customers by providing information related to initial concept design, prototypes/samples, electrical and mechanical test data, presentation materials, technical support, part drawings, product specifications and other issues as required.
5. Analyze customer requirements and complete or guide the design of solutions to effectively meet those requirements in a timely manner. Focus on and drive cost effective product solutions with emphasis on design for manufacturability.
6. Coordinates new product development, debug and release activities acting as the technical interface between the development engineering team and the sales force/customer. Follows all product development steps. Responsible for follow up, publishing documentation and tracking all technical action items of a new program.
7. Interfaces with internal departments (engineering, manufacturing, quality, lab, sales and marketing) to ensure design objectives are met in a timely manner and assists by providing product information, engineering samples and technical advice. Also interfaces with suppliers as needed.
8. Keeps well informed on the technical aspects of all new products and technologies from the business unit and from other relevant areas of Molex. Is able to address other general information of Molex products that would be of interest to field sales and customers.
9. Manage and track projects to timely completion.
10. Understand, support and contribute to current Molex Total Quality Management (TQM), Six Sigma, International Standards Organization (ISO), Environmental, and/or Health and Safety (EH&S) Management Systems, and Social Responsibility by following stated policies and procedures.
11. Provides technical support and training to Molex GSM sales network。
