Job Description
The major function of the position is to coordinate the APA MFG governance activities in term of Business Plan Review (BPR), Operating Committee Meeting (OCM), Special Attention Review (SAR) in plant level, APA head office level and Global MFG level. In additional, another key function is to assess the impact of cycle plan changes and align the early-phase program input for manufacturing with PD Planning organization in APA and Global program team. Besides, the position also need play the new program interference role among APA MFG, PD program team in SH, China plant MFG team and MBO program team in India for pre-program business study activities.
Major Responsibilities
Lead the preparation / development work of MFG governance activities in term of APA MFG Business Plan Review activity, OCM meeting, SAR and senior management report material preparation, and coordinate the APA MFG training requirement.
The APR meetings incldue the weekly APA plant BPR, monthly APA MFG function BPR, monthly APA BPR, and bi-monthly global MFG BPR.
The OCM & SAR meetings are hold by weekly basis including APA MFG and Global MFG
Coordinate the quarterly APA MFG leadership meeting activities
Coordinate the quarterly Global MFG senior leadership plant visiting event
Supervise the APA training course development and training arrangement
Lead total APA cycle plan on behalf of Manufacturing Engineering and Launch for workload containability.
Analyze launch stagger issue at APR phrase for management earlier awareness.
Conduct program investment efficiency reporting and analysis.
Develop APA MFG Workload Index in line with Cycle Plan update for resource assessment.
Collect and study the reasonable program assumption for Pre- input of program investment and launch costs.
Be Single Point of Contact for PD in all APR studies, for high level manufacturing strategy and costing input (Footprint, F&T, etc).
Work with global Cycle Plan team and manufacturing business office to estimate the product investment efficiency models for annual cycle plan study.
Work with cross-functional team in APA to coordinate Pre-Program activities, deliverable, strategies, and best practices for new model launch and manufacturing with cross-functional technical team.
Align the early phase program input for manufacturing with PD Planning organization.
Contact with cross-function departments to build up and maintain APA Manufacturing Program Intelligence.
Preferred previous experiences / competencies to prepare for the position
Education Qualification
Master degree in Engineering, Industrial, Manufacturing or similar
MBA is a plus
No. of Years of Experience With minimum 5 years auto industry experience;
Professional Exposure Auto industry related
Global Product Development System
Ford Production System
Preferred previous experiences Working in an environment with cross-functional team (PD, VO, VOME, MP&L, etc.) on a regional and global basis
