Primary Responsibilities
Prepare Journal entries / close general ledger
Direct activities of accounting staff to ensure reporting requirements are met.
Close the local books by the designated business day of each month as required by Corporate Finance.
Develop, implement and maintain corporate policies and procedures relating to accounting
Responsible for the maintenance of all general and subsidiary ledgers and accounting modules required for accurate and timely close of the books.
Responsible for the accurate and timely preparation of balance sheet account reconciliations for all accounts using a standardized format.
Responsible for accurate and timely financial reporting and analysis related to head office and local management requirements. This entails full review for accuracy, completeness and compliance of GAAP basis financial statements for area of responsibility.
Responsible for the evaluation of all financial controls in the operating area under their jurisdiction for the purpose of ensuring accurate and US GAAP compliant financial statements.
Responsible for participation of all external and internal audits.
Qualifications

· University undergraduate degree in accounting or finance required
· Experience with or knowledge of US generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP) required.
· University post-graduate degree in accounting, finance, or business a plus.

Professional Experience:
Skills - Technical:
· Working knowledge of accounting practices, policies and procedures.
· Ability to improve processes and establish policies and procedures.
· Proficient in the use of Excel.
· Experience using SAP preferred.
· Experience in a multi-ledger environment a plus
· Experience with foreign currency financial reporting issues required
Skills - Communication:
· Fluent in Mandarin and English Language, both written and oral
Skills - People:
· 'Can do' culture survival
· Ability to interact with individuals in a cross-cultural environment.

Licenses, Certifications, Credentials, and Other Requirements:
· Chartered Accountant or Certified Public Accountant is a key plus
