Job Role:


The role is responsible for accounts payable, fixed assets, general accounting, tax & compliance functions. Responsibilities include implementing all corporate procedures and policies, adhering to internal controls, maintaining local accounting and other systems, managing the accounts payable function, general accounting, tax return and compliance with local regulations. This will be for Broadcom's operations in Shanghai, Nanjing & Dalian. Most of the work will involve coordinating transactions with the company's shared services center in Singapore.



Key Job Responsibilities



Routine

·Ensure timely payments of vendor invoices in line with company policy by working with the shared services center

·Ensure timely/appropriate fixed assets accounting & tagging

·Provide support to customs/shipping requirements for the site

·Ensure timely response to emails



Month end

·Manage month end process to ensure compliance with corporate and shared services centre requirements.

·Timely updation of local books (Kingdee) and payment of appropriate local business and corporate taxes

·Uses professional concepts; applies company policies and procedures to resolve a variety of issues. Ensures compliance with GAAP, Internal controls and SOX.


Business support

·Provide support to the business by understanding and dealing with issues in a timely and efficient manner. Some travel will be required each quarter in the role.

·Works with employees from respective departments and entities.




Education/Qualifications/Special Training

·University degree in accounting or equivalent with at least 1 year of relevant working experience.

·Prior experience in large public accounting firm a plus.



Experience


The ideal candidate will be a hard-working energetic individual with working in a multi-national corporation.



This individual will have good analytical skills and should be self-starter who is able to set priorities and work to tight deadlines.



The individual will be familiar with statutory reporting requirements in China, internal control requirements and have a familiarity with the Sarbanes-Oxley Act and US GAAP.



The individual should also have good interpersonal and communication skills, and be able to team with individuals in diverse business and cultural environments



Strong PC skills, including Microsoft Office products (Excel, Word). Experience with Peoplesoft or other ERP system, Kingdee a plus.
