Synopsis:
The UI/UE Web Designer works on various projects to build user interface designs for internal and external customer facing products in order to support the business, as well as serve as a knowledge resource for the latest trends and technologies for web and standards based user interface development. You will work to actively assist in improving the usability, usefulness, and desirability of EF Kids and Teens online components in collaboration with EF Product Managers, sales/marketing team and Development team.
Responsibilities:
· Work closely with product managers, development teams and other internal stakeholders to build proof of concept mockups, demos and prototypes of proposed and planned EF website applications and features.
· Collaborate in the definition of user interface design standards for EF website applications, to optimize ease of use and achieve an integrated and consistent look and feel.
· Conduct ongoing research of web based user interface development best practices.
Requirements:
? 3-5 years of experience in web design/development, with specific expertise with web based applications 2-3 years of experience in software testing or development.
? Expertise in Adobe Photoshop is a must; familiarity with Illustrator, Fireworks and Flash is a plus.
? Strong visual design sense; working knowledge of graphic design principles, typography, composition, colors, etc.
? Strong web graphics production capability and practice experience with Flash, Visio and other mockup tools.
? Fluency with web standards and technologies, including: CSS, HTML, JavaScript.
? Knowledge of usability and coding practices for accessibility.
? Creative approach to problem solving, innovation and issue resolution.
? Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to collaborate actively and proactively with others in a cross-functional team.
? Ability to communicate effectively in writing and verbally.
? Self-motivated and self-managed with a high degree of analytical ability and intellectual curiosity.
? Strong attention to detail, and a commitment to delivering highly-polished web-based prototypes under tight time constraints.
