Purpose
 
Lead and win new onsite projects profitably to support the business growth of China IG
 
Nature and Scope
 
 
The job holder is the Onsite Business Development Manager for electronics tonnage/Gen Gas and bulk gases business in the China and reports directly to GM of China Onsite BD.
The jobholder is responsible for the sales / Business Development of the electronics tonnage business – bulk gases. To achieve this, Individual will be basically the local point of contact for the specific electronics tonnage/bulk gas opportunities as assigned, related to Electronics/Gen Gas and play the interface role with customers, marketing, regional stakeholders, and the local government officials accordingly.
 
During the bidding stage, Individual needs to comply with company’s review and approval process to complete the following: business project screening, project planning/definition, tendering/ bidding, project/contract execution and control, performance measurement. Individual needs to develop commercial strategy on new opportunities and enhance communications with customers, AP stakeholders, and other outside parties. And also, Individual will develop bid/proposal for new opportunities so as to achieve the targeted hit rate and sales and profitability goals.
 
Individual is responsible for contract negotiation and secure. Individual and will lead the business license set-up and act as the long-term Business Development manager for existing accounts to maintain and grow sales and profits, customer wallet share, new product introduction/service extension, etc.
 
PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES
 
The jobholder’s primary accountabilities include the followings:
 
  
  
1. Develop the business development plan and execution strategy
 
  
  
2. Develop the commercial strategy for a bid, by following company’s review and approval process.
 
  
  
3. Contract negotiation and signature once business secured.
 
  
  
4. Lead the business license set-up, manage and execute the long-term contracts to grow sales and profits.
 
JOB REQUIREMENTS
  
1. Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in an engineering or business related subject
2. Minimum of 7 years’ experience in gas business and project environment.
3. Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to deal with people from all cultures at all organizational levels, inside and outside AP
4. Excellent language skills. Able to communicate fluently in English/Chinese.

6. Leadership and Management Skills – ability to lead initiatives in business development and to manage a team to achieve business goals.
7. Selling Skills – ability to interact effectively with customers and sell the advantages of our proposals to a positive conclusion.
8. Technical Skills – ability to understand and work with the technical aspects of Gen Gas projects including a basic understanding of the product lines and our project execution methodology.
9. Business Registration and Permitting Knowledge – ability to understand and work with other teams in business registration, permitting and import duty exemption as applicable to country regulation.
10. Financial Knowledge – ability to understand and work with financial analyses for projects; ability to understand and work with the technical and other aspects of a project that have impact on its financial return.
11. Legal Knowledge - ability to conduct effective negotiations, and to put legal documents together. These include letters of intent, contracts and land leases.
12. People Skills – ability to work with people from different background in terms of culture and discipline internally and externally; ability to lead a team of personnel in a matrix environment.
13. Commercial and Business Acumen – a sound understanding of the competitive environment and competence in putting a deal together under the general direction of a remote supervisor.
14. Language Skills – ability to communicate effectively in both native and English languages.
