SEO Specialist (China Market)

Role Description:

We are looking for a self-motivated, results-oriented achiever who has 2 to 4 years’ experience of SEO marketing in China to develop, manage and optimize our search marketing efforts in China.

The role of an SEO specialist is to increase traffic to www.ef.com.cn (currently PR 6), to improve rankings on search engines using off page techniques, to track the activities of our website’s visitors to help improve on page SEO.

The SEO specialist will also manage link building initiatives to improve the natural search ranking in several search engines in China using all techniques available such as social linking, blog marketing, and more traditional link building methods. The successful candidate will have an understanding of Online Marketing, SEO practices, a strong understanding of search engine trends and competitor link building analysis and be able to transform search engines into a primary source of qualified traffic to our websites.

This is an amazing position to work as part of a multinational global online marketing team based in Shanghai as such good English and native Chinese are necessary.

Responsibilities:

Search Engine Optimization / Search Engine Marketing

Passion and energy to keep up to date with all the latest ethical techniques as the business area continues to change.

Research and develop a dense link network in your local market through effective partnership building
Able to perform competitor analysis and use this to help define our SEO strategies.
Experience in performing these link building activities is an advantage:

1. Directory Submissions

2. One-way and Two-way Link Building

3. Article and Press Release Submission

4. Social Bookmarking

5. Link baiting

Promote www.ef.com.cn on Blogs, BBS forums and SNS;
Good copywriting skills
Monitor and report on key performance measurements: ranking, traffic per search engine, conversion, etc
Analyze the number of visitors to our website and their activity on the site using web analytics software
Come up with ideas for small web widgets (anything viral and help on link building).

Understand issues surrounding user experience, accessibility and information architecture.

Other

Knowledge of: HTML, CSS, and other common programming languages are necessary;
Good writer - strong command of both Chinese and English language, while understanding advertising and marketing language.
Experienced user of Microsoft excel to enable timely reporting.
Work closely with the Global Online Sales & Marketing Team. Leverage the skills of your team colleagues to your advantage, and be able to offer advice to colleagues running our international sites.
Share new ideas with the team in order to help the team perform to the best of their potential.
