Description

IP & BB development in Beijing, China, is a dynamic development hub for more than 5 different IP & BB product lines, supporting Ericsson to be a world class technology leader in a dynamic market, developing competence fit for the future IP based network portfolio.
As Head of DUIB China Hardware, you are an integral part of DUIB China Leadership Team, and expected to collaborate with colleagues as well as drive strategic discussions together with other hardware units in Ericsson and DUIB Technology.
You and your team will develop and maintain Hardware products and components for PDU Microwave & Mobile backhaul, PDU Optical & Metro, and PDU Broadband Access, as well as potential future products in DUIB responsibility. Having multiple stakeholders means you are expected to drive how to best leverage the portfolio, creating common look and feel as well as common components to reduce cost and increase re-use.
You will have first line managers with responsibilities covering for example Board design, FPGA design, Mechanical design and product approval, and together you will work with architect/system team, analyze the requirements and come up with innovative hardware proposals.
Your team will drive and ensure delivery on time, cost and quality, and ensure products meet worldwide regulatory agency compliance requirements, as well as lead key component and supplier selection and qualification.
You and your team will also participate in Innovation, Agile transformation and other strategic programs across DUIB China, drive cost improvements, technology leadership, strategic competence planning, and explore and understand competitive landscape in both product and business terms. As the market is dynamic, you are expected to be an excellent change manager with a pro-active approach to stay on top, broadening the competence of your people based on strategic insights.

Qualifications

BS/MSc Electrical Engineering degree or equivalent with 10+ year’s development experience in a fast paced environment, preferably including hardware design.
5+ year’s management experience, preferably including manager of managers.
Excellent communication (written and oral, English and Mandarin) skills and collaborate effectively, with proven interpersonal and international skills, working across organizational, cultural as well as country borders.
Knowledge in IP & Broadband customers, network, products, protocols.
Proven performance in full responsibility for significant delivered-to-market product development cycles in networking.
Experience to solve difficult technical, quality, cost, and schedule challenges
Experience with team building, collaboration, and managing resources
Strong strategic leadership and analytical skills
Solid critical/precise thinking and questioning skills
Have a big picture of one Ericsson
