1. Key Accountabilities
Lean the entire supply chain function to support business growth.
Develop supply chain strategies as well as tactical plans to meet delivery requirements with continuous optimization of inventory and cost efficiencies.
Conduct regular management reviews of key indicators in OTD, PPV, RFQ response, inventory turn, supplier LT/MOQ, price, shipping, payment terms, freight cost, supplier quality and act on variances to targets.
Manage various processes in quoting, material planning, inventory management, import/Export management.
Responsible for the supplier management (database, process capability, corrective action), cost reduction, quality assurance and on-time delivery.
Conduct regular reviews of business objectives with business partners - key supplier, freight forwarder, customs broker, and service provider.
Ensure there is an effective, prevention-based fully documented purchasing and sourcing strategy for all key commodities.
Develop skills and competencies of the supply chain team.
Develop annual budget/business plan and managing monthly supply chain report.
Communicate effectively with various functional team leaders & personnel at Global/China in purchasing, quality and engineering for effective and efficient project executions.

Highly communication complexity requirement.
Must able to negotiate with supplier on price, delivery, quality with strong technical skills.
Must able to make strategy decision to build long term relationship with supplier base on strong communication & strategy thinking.
Must work as part of a leadership team and so work through others to accomplish targets.

5. Qualifications, Skills & Experience
Bachelors Degree in a business, technical or equivalent experience in mechanical/foundry.
Minimum of 8-10 years procurement experience, with emphasis on multi-national company.
At least 5 years supply chain management experience.
Demonstrated experience and success working in a fast-paced, matrixed environment, satisfying multiple customers.
Experience with valve/pump related industry is a plus.
Experience with international terms of trade and payment.
Experience with ISO standards and quality certification processes.
Experience managing managers and professionals.
Willing and able to coach people in the team.
Strong Business and Financial acumen.

Able to communicate well both written and orally in English and Mandarin Chinese
Excellent negotiation skills
Professional presentation skills
Good Interaction skills in Team environment
PC skills: ERP, Word, e-mail, Excel, Power Point, and Internet

7. Major Challenges in the role
Working with cross functions to decrease inventory & improve inventory turn.

8. Working relationships.
Plant manager, leadership team, suppliers, China supply chain committee, group supply chain committee.
