Specific Responsibilities:
? Promote Lean Culture throughout all aspects of facility
? Plan, organize, conduct and follow up on kaizen events
? Conduct kaizen training
? Facilitate kaizen teams - Track, document and report kaizen results
? Guide organization in lean systems implementation
? Host outside kaizen participants
? Communicate lean related information
? Continually improve training materials and techniques
? Act entrepreneurially on matters related to Lean; lead, guide, energize the respective plant site
? Push the lean process further along the evolution stage
Position Requirements:
Education:
? BSIE, Engineering and/or 5+ years’ experience working in a similar role
Experience:
? Knowledge of the Toyota Production System
? Experience in Lean Systems implementation in a high volume manufacturing environment
? Knowledge of Kaizen methodology
? Excellent communication and training skills
? Excellent problem solving and facilitation skills
Personal Qualifications:
This position is one of the most visible and dynamic in the organization. It requires a person who is enthusiastic, engaged and tenacious, as well as professional and articulate. The incumbent must be able to work independently with minimal supervision. They must be able to interact with all levels of the organization and they must be able to motivate and direct cross-functional teams to a desired result.
