Responsibilities:
? Work with both US and China engineering colleagues on part designs and models using Solidworks.
? Utilize Solidworks CAD for draft and moldability analysis to create models that are tooling ready.
? Interact and collaborate with tool makers to ensure that the tooling meets our company standards.
? Obtain and preserve all tool designs in company PDM system.
? Define DFM documentation and communicate and enforce design change processes.
? Problem solve and support production tooling issues.
? Coordinate qualification testing and participate in the process of plastic component approval.
? Specify plastic materials and assist with documentation of components to meet vendor capabilities.
Minimum Qualifications:
? College degree with tooling major
? Experience with engineering documentation systems, processes and procedures.
? SolidWorks high end modeling skills required, including surfacing, bodies, and conics.
? Highly skilled with tooling and fixture design.
? Over 5 years injection molding experience.
? Database experience with Product Data Management software for CAD systems is extremely beneficial.
? Exceptional organizational skills.
? Fluent in English and Chinese communications, both written and verbal.
? Highly motivated individual with a positive attitude.
? Knowledge and experience with baby product mechanisms is an advantage.
