Responsibilities:
-You will play a vital role in the development and maintenance of a unified network management system of a multi-services telecom access platform.
-You will be involved in the development and maintenance of a large-scale, leading edge network management application utilizing the latest technologies. The NG Resource Management uses Java based popular SDN controller OpenDayLight. It includes device plugin (Java OSGI), north bound Web Apps and REST Web services, South bound it uses YANG/netconf.
-You will participate in design, implementation, and maintenance activities of large-scale enterprise software applications for managing Telecommunications and Data-communications products and devices throughout multiple release cycles. You will work with real-time telecom hardware that are used to provides broadband data, video, and voice services to millions of homes and business across North America.
-Apply latest Object-Oriented methodologies, Java, OSGI, SDN, ODL, XML technologies, and DBMSs
-Architect, develop, maintain and integrate various enterprise server modules
-Work through all phases of Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) with product marketing, engineering, and testing teams
- Write and maintain software functional specifications, design and integration documents
-Fix daily defects and support issues arising from customer sites

Qualifications:
Required:
- Passionate on software development and software quality.
- Strong competency in Java language fundamentals, 6+ years of Java software development experience.
- Good knowledge of SDN controller, OpenDayLight development, MD-SAL, YANG, netconf.
- Strong web application development skills including Web Service(REST/SOAP), Javascript, HTML, CSS.
- Strong database management system knowledge, preferable Postgres and/or Oracle.
- Strong SQL knowledge and implementation experience.
- Strong knowledge of Object-Oriented Design and Methodologies, and common design patterns.
- Proficient in Client/Server programming in a multi-thread/multi-process environment
- Experience with Java server development, e.g. JMS, EJB, JBOSS, Hibernate, JDBC
- Network Management interfaces. e.g. Netconf, SNMP, SOAP, Socket, OSI, TL1
- Good analytical and problem solving skills.
- Excellent technical communication skills with English, in both speaking and writing
- Strong work discipline and team work spirit.
- BSCS (or equivalent) required, MSCS preferred

Desirable:
- Experience with Meteor, MongoDB based web application development.
- Telecom background with access and/or transport networks, network management (FCAPS)
- Database schema design experience.
- Experience with any BI tool integration with Java.
- Experience with reporting system integration such as Jasper, BIRT, Pentaho, SAP/Business Objects, Hyperion, and IBM/Cognos.
- Web UI Design experience.
- Experience with various security protocols/architecture (SSL, PKI, JAAS and etc)
- Experience with Enterprise application clustering, HA solutions, scalability, etc.
