Purpose of the position

1 To lead and manage Control Tower team to respond to extensive operational needs on a specialized level, e.g. Order Management, Freight Management etc.;

2 To strengthen the local relationship with the named accounts and make sure Operational Excellence is delivered;

3 To safeguard and further optimize profitability of the accounts by ensuring flawless ops execution and pro-active solution delivery;

Key Tasks

1 To develop and strengthen the added value of CT service for the customer business at District level;

2 To align with KAM in order to maintain best relationship possible with the customer (including vendors);

3 To lead proactively any new business project and opportunity at operational level to ensure customer satisfaction;

4 To be the escalation point of CT and PA internal teams in China and other stations to ensure customer’s service requirements are fully met;

5 To participate in regular meetings with the customer for operational discussion;

To guide operations (AF/OF/LOG) in full compliance with signed SOP as well as general rules;

6 To conduct regular review of existing procedures and optimize the process consistently in search of higher productivity of the team;

7 To ensure the CT team members provide VAS including PO/Vendor Management, Shipment/Event Management, Cross Function/Region Traffic Control;

8 To monitor KPIs and push to meet targets;

9 To work on internal and/or external IT applications;

10 To control data quality for accuracy, availability and punctuality;

11 To prepare, supervise and coordinate statistical information of the named accounts to guarantee full/detailed transparency;

12 To coach each CT team member and help develop their professional career to improve staff retention and ensure business knowledge stays within PA;

13 Take over other tasks assigned by the superior;

Function- / Market & Industry Knowledge / Business Acumen / Process working

1 Functional know-how in air freight, ocean, logistics, forwarding or brokerage

2 Knowledge of forwarding and supply chain management systems

3 In-depth industry vertical knowledge

4 Deep understanding of PA (strategy and products)

5 Deep market knowledge (customers, competitors, suppliers, overall environment)

Industry experience minimum 10 years
