Position: Quality Assurance Coordinator

Department: Sourcing

Reports to: Foreign Business Manager

JOB SUMMARY:

Reporting to the Foreign Business Manager, the Quality Assurance Coordinator is responsible for the monitoring of supplier/factory`s execution on all stages of the product development lifecycle; from sample development to pre production to inline bulk production, to be according to Groupe Dynamite`s processes and calendar timelines. The individual is continuously identifying construction improvements in and reporting back to Manager and Head Office Sourcing Team.

PRIMARY RESPONSABILITIES:

1) Ensure proto samples are produced according to specifications and esthetically presentable within the 3 week timeframe

2) Identify development challenges at the proto sample stage and together with sample makers suggest production friendly construction when needed

3) Once styles have been adopted, subsequent fit and pre production samples to be expedited according to GDI requirements within allotted timeframe

4) Execute last minute changes and facilitate flexibility at factory level

5) Continuous monitoring of the time and action to ensure on time order execution

6) Atten Pre production hand off meeting to the production team; assurance all Head Office callouts to be adjusted for bulk production

7) Validation of all bulk fabric and trims according to approved standards prior to cutting

8) Peform Pilot inspection or initial production inspection to ensure final specifications and workmanship is according to standards

9) Collaborate with appointed QC teams to be proactive in seeking high quality final product

10) Manage potential quality issues quickly by providing appropriate solutions and respecting established EX dates

11) Assurance all packing and documentation is according to standards

12) Training for Suppliers, QC and factory technical.patternmaking teams on any new process requirements GDI implements

13) In case Final Inspection fails, assurance corrective measures are taken with a sense of urgency and accuracy

14) Access all style information from Bamboo Rose(PLM) and other web based tools

15) Other tasks assigned by management

QUALIFICATIONS:

College Degree, major in Textile Engineer, Industrial Engineer, BA/Economy Degree is preferred.

Education (include professional designation)

College degree or Bachelor Degree in Business Administration, Finance, Fashion Marketing, Fashion Design or a related field and/or DEC in Fashion Marketing or Fashion Design

Experience:

1) 5 - 7 years experience of Textile/Garment production, preferably experience from similar positions, in supplier or representative office

2) Experiences in garment factories, especially in production planning or quality assurance will be a strong preference

Technical Skills:

1)Knowledge of fabrics(both woven and knit), garment tech is a must

2)Hands on experience in pattern/fitting

Salary is negotiable for qualified candidates according to his/her working experience
