Baker Tilly China was founded in December 1988, among the first group of accounting firms established in China. After twenty-three years of development, Baker Tilly China has become a large certified accounting firm with professional practice in international securities, futures-related business auditing, large state-owned enterprises auditing, financial-related auditing, forensic accounting, and foreign listed company auditing. According to the latest information published by Chinese Institute of Certified Public Accountants “Year 2011 comprehensive assessment of top one hundred accounting firms”, Baker Tilly is ranked 12th among international accounting firms and continuous ranked 8th among local accounting firms in China.
Our strategic development goals are to become more standardize, group-building and internationalization, through our continuous practice and exploration, we gradually established an integrated and highly centralized management structure from which we set up departments according to functions and specialties, and branches according to geographical layout. Until July 2011, including Beijing headquarters, we have offices spread over the mainland China, including Shanghai, Shenzhen, Hunan, Anhui, Chengdu, Yunnan, Xi’an, Shenyang, Xinjiang, Chongqing, Shandong, Wuhan, Jiangsu, Guangzhou and Zhuzhou. At Hong Kong, Baker Tilly has an established Hong Kong office (Baker Tilly Hong Kong). Additionally, Baker Tilly China is the only independent member firm of the Baker Tilly International (the world’s 8th largest accounting firm) in China and Hong Kong, and the global network enable the facility accessing to worldwide resource and directions.
Baker Tilly China implements “professional as cornerstone, powerful as talent-oriented, sustainable as people forecast” as our talent strategy, setting up “High technical talent enhancing plan”, from which we have arranged about 10 million training funds enhancing professional and management skills to different levels of staffs. We setup programme sending our staffs to other BTI member firms, for example, England and Australia to study and exchange experiences. We have developed a training, evaluation and examination system that is suitable for our staff’s self-development, and committed to build a talent team that is highly educated, having international vision and professional skills. At present, Baker Tilly China has more than 2000 professional staffs that includes over 700 Chinese Certified Public Accountants, 33 international Certified Accountants(HKICPA, ACA, ACCA, CGA), and 7 “accounting leaders” named by Ministry of finance.
In order to create a friendly and harmonious working environment, in particular, holding leisure activities regularly for our employees, there are sport events such as badminton competition and basketball competition, as well as speech contest, birthday parties and etc. Baker Tilly China has been the champion of the “Faith Cup” football competition held by the Beijing Institute of Certified Public Accountants consecutively for two years. We enable staff daily communication by using instant messaging and creating various communication platforms aiming to different group and demands, in the purpose to facilitate communication and cooperation between our staffs. Meanwhile, based on perfect ourselves and repay the society, employees from Baker Tilly China voluntarily organized a charity team named “Lao shu Chuan and I”, which sponsored the “Baker Tilly International Lao Shu Chuan Hope primary school” and formed mechanism that offer poverty supports in a long-term.
