JOB SUMMARY

The DECO project engineer is responsible for new project development and uunder the DEU division and DECO strategic guidance, monitoring the project development and on time delivery. He/she shall be accountable for schedule management, general project management, and engineering through concept, tooling debug, and production stages. He/she should be required to ensure that all new products are produced within the developmental timeline and spec, and also comply with product specifications and all regulatory standards.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

1. Leading the product development process with strong support on product development coordination & tracking. Working closely with the supplier through the tooling debug, engineering pilot sample testing/review, final engineering approvals, release to production, and 1^st shipment.

2. Review new product from concept to identify any engineering or design related issues. and provide recommendations for engineering debugging and design, as well as offering workable solutions for all manufacturing failures.

3. Obtain and file updated 3D/CAD files from supplier at the go tooling milestone and review the BOM during engineering stage .

4. Evaluate engineering and pre-production samples to confirm that the samples conform to the product specifications, testing requirements, and regulatory standards.

5. Work with vendor to ensure correct understanding of Division requirements. Sign production samples together with DECO quality people and provide the spec and checking quality criterion.

6. Evaluate manufacturing capability of new suppliers and assist Division visitor for product sample reviews.

7. Travel to suppliers as necessary to ensure engineering debug is completely successfully and on schedule. Other occasional travel may be necessary.

8. Work with Quality team to identify products in need of improvement, and execute engineering changes throughout product development lifecycle.

9. Work closely with Quality, and Fabric engineer to maximize product development speed .

10.Provide technical support from engineering to mass production, recommendations for engineering design and tooling, as well as offering workable solutions for all manufacturing failures.

JOB REQUIEMENT

EDUCATION / EXPERIENCE:

1. University Graduate in Mechanical Engineering or related fields required.

2. Minimum 3 years working experience in relevant industrial field. Experience in any of the Juvenile product manufacturing fields is preferred:

3. Experience in plastic and metal part design, tooling debug, and consumer product design required.

4. Sound knowledge of plastic molding, metal fabrication, textile production.

5. Experience in project management, problem solving, and design troubleshooting. Must have strong analytical skills.

6. Experience in plastic and sheet metal secondary operations experience in painting, powder coating, anodizing.

SKILLS:

1. Computer 2D & 3D design skills preferred (Pro-E, Solid Works, AutoCAD), Microsoft Office skills required.

2. Ability to manage many projects simultaneously and in a timely manner.

3. Ability to implement product concept, with good understanding of mechanical structure design, manufacturing definition and regulatory standards.

4. Excellent communication skills required.

5. Good command of both spoken and written English is a MUST.

6. Ability to work under pressure to meet project deadlines. Applicant must work well in both a team environment and independently.
