A Hong Kong based Business to Business Sourcing company offering an end-to-end supply chain service for professional European based client companies involved in Maintenance, Repair, Operating (MRO) industry is seeking to recruit a dynamic Merchandiser for their Shenzhen office.
The successful candidate will likely possess the following attributes:
Requirements and Experience:
- Minimum 30 years old
- Mandarin speaker, excellent written & spoken English
- Major in English, International Trading or related careers
- Minimum 8 years in purchase department, International Trading or sourcing office (ideally from an European or US company engaged in MRO with at least 3 years’ experience in supervisory level
- Solid experience in Sourcing Industry
- Proactive with good people and influencing skills to work effectively cross function and across cultures
- Self-driven and independent with an ability to deliver result in a fast-paced and dynamic environment
- Excellent organizational and people management skills
- Excellent leadership, communication & negotiation skills

Functions:
- Coordinate with other departments such as Quality, Shipping, Accounting, and Administration to ensure smooth workflow
- Vendor management including evaluating and selecting new suppliers, current supplier's maintenance and performance appraisal
- Help to develop and implement the global sourcing strategy
- Lead and control the overall quotation process and meet the business needs, maintains contact with vendors regarding current status of purchase orders
- Sourcing of new vendors/suppliers and innovative products based on the given category assortments
- Merchandising product categories to determine the right products, styles/SKU counts, price points, etc.
- Hunting for the potential and right merchandises
- Obtain and negotiates competitive pricing
- Elaborate a sound sourcing strategy with a good proposal to customers
- Identify and resolve potential purchasing problems; follow up to ensure timely and accurate product delivery
- Based in Shenzhen office with frequent traveling in China
