Project Manager (hardware products development)
Job summary:
Lead project management activities with internal/external resources and customer in NPI phase to successfully transfer project into mass production.
Job descriptions:
1. Evaluate the feasibility of selected concept/product design to meet functional, cosmetic and customer needs.
2. Effectively review projects over the telephone and video conference regularly with clients and suppliers as well as the in-house team.
3. Facilitate the timely development of new products’ designing/developing/prototyping in accordance with company & customer product development process.
4. Ensure the overall consentience with customer expectation through continuous communication and milestone reports.
5. Evaluate, suggest & discuss possible design & process changes to improve product performance and manufacturability with the customer, manufacturer and in-house team.
6. Drive application of latest materials, processes and agile methodologies. Assess reliability, safety, performance and risk of new designs/methodologies.
7. Manage development and project costs effectively, always striving to increase quality and reduce costs.
8. Manage the whole RFQ timeline. Coordinate and communicate development schedules and compatibility or design issues throughout the team continuously.
Hiring criteria:
1. Bachelor degree or above, majoring in field of engineering.
2. At least 5~8 years of experience in overall project management in foreign enterprises, ideally developing consumer products.
3. Excellent oral English, capable of discussing projects with overseas customers, as we as good reading and writing skills.
4. Fluent in all aspects of Mandarin.
5. Ideally having a Knowledge in plastic injection & metal fabrication. Experience in manufacturing environments
6. Demonstrated effective communication, interpersonal, teamwork, negotiating skills, collaboration and conflict resolution skills
7. Sound project management skills to establish strategic goals and prioritize, plan and evaluate deliverable.
8. Have a knowledge of Quality Management Systems and Continuous Improvement Techniques.
9. Ideally proficient in all MS office applications.
10. Must be able to travel domestically and internationally as required
11. Able to work flexible business hours to facilitate communication/conference meetings between company and customers in abroad.
