InterChina has a position open for a Senior Manager (C&R) in our Strategy Practice in Shanghai. Along with the leaders of our other sector groups, this is an important position within the company and on a trajectory towards company leadership.
The Strategy Practice supports clients develop understanding and insight into their markets; identify entry points and prioritize target markets; design value propositions and route-to-market structures; as well as participate in the initial stages of the rollout. Our team of 25 specialist consultants has conducted projects, mainly for Western multinationals across various sectors and industries. We use 'homegrown' methodologies that put the emphasis on fieldwork, ongoing interaction with the client, and the iterative testing of potential solutions.
Our C&R Group serves C&R producers and sellers regarding strategic and corporate issues. Typical C&R clients are the world's leading multinational companies including food & beverage brands, hypermarket retailers, leisure goods producers, food service chains, luxury goods brands etc. We regularly provide advice on market research, strategy development, route-to-market and distribution, partner search, and mergers & acquisitions across different products and services.
The main responsibility of the Senior Manager (C&R) will be project management for large-sized and/or complex projects related to (but not necessarily limited to) C&R. This is as an opportunity for someone coming from a solid background in China's C&R sector to leverage their practical experience for the purpose of developing new strategies and approaches for multinational C&R players.
The Senior Manager (C&R) will also have a developmental role in our C&R Group. This will involve developing new clients and key accounts, as well as evolving our suite of services and capabilities.
Within the framework of InterChina's Performance Management System, the Senior Manager will become the Performance Coach of several junior colleagues. Typical coaching responsibilities include: communicating performance expectations; setting performance improvement goals; monitoring progress and providing performance feedback, as well as conducting formal performance appraisals.
Requirements
Candidates should have the following qualifications and experience:
-- Min. Bachelor degree in related subjects, MBA preferred.
-- Substantial China business experience (>5 years).
-- Including substantial consulting or corporate development experience in C&R industry (>3 years).
-- Expert PowerPoint, Word and Excel skills.
-- Multilingual (fluent Mandarin and fluent English).
