MAIN DUTIES

• Responsibility for middle management recruiting, team building, coaching and training. Define job responsibilities for direct reports and conduct performance evaluations. Arrange annual appraisal in compliance with the group policy. Ensure high engagement of staff and low fluctuation rates.
• Pro-active and solution-oriented customer management.
• Assuring efficient and high-quality operations across all warehouse operations (KPI).
• Management of 5S, lean management, CIP, zero failure & other methodologies.
• Supervision and engagement in annual productivity enhancement.
• Review internal/external customer requirements and take/initiate appropriate actions.
• Management of customer contracts, active engagement in negotiations with clients.
• Selection, management and supervision of suppliers.
• Responsibility for profit & loss, reporting and financial development of the BU.
• Develop future strategy for the BU Logistics in coordination with Regional Management Team.
• Drive business development and management of BD team members.
• Assure efficient and regular communications with other departments and suppliers.
• Regular reporting to management.
• Currently 7 warehouse operations under management
• Current locations: Changzhou, Wuxi, Taicang, Shanghai, Hangzhou, Shenzhen and Taipei
• Current headcount under management: 120 FTE
• Current space under management: approx 50,000 sqm
• Other jobs assigned by superior manager.

REQUIREMENT PROFILE

EDUCATION & FURTHER DEVELOPMENT / TRAINING

• University degree preferably on Masters Level.
• 10 years working experience in the logistics industry and/or supply chain function.
• Working experience in/with manufacturing company is mandatory.
• Training on Project Management and lean management is preferred.
• Leadership training and/or leadership experience of min. 5 years required.
• Sound understanding of automotive and machinery industries.
• Ecommerce fulfillment experience is a plus.

TECHNICAL COMPETENCIES

• Mastering warehouse operation procedures and domestic distribution management.
• Analytical and process know-how.
• Excellent knowledge of warehouse and supplier management.
• Excellent knowledge of WMS, TMS, Visio, Track & trace.
• Good finance knowledge as non-finance manager.
• Outstanding communication and negotiation skills.
• Very good level of English.
