Purpose & general responsibilities of the position:
* Overall responsible for Specific trade development and handle controlled accounts in sales coverage.
* Arrange the sales activities, selling and promoting Line products under Ningbo sales coverage
* Provide input to the sales plan of your account group and execute the market plan set for the Sales Organization.
* Establish strategy and maintain relationships with clients as appropriate, championing their needs and driving teamwork within the sales and service delivery organization.
* Identify and develop potential direct clients within your sales coverage.
* Upgrade potential globalizing champion and local strategic clients into Key Clients.
* Build Trade/Industry/logistic knowledge, increase sales competence, and facilitate knowledge flow between teams.
* Conduct extensive market research, analyze and feedback the market information in a structured way.
* Enhance Insight adoption.
Specific responsibilities of the position:
* Recommend to Ningbo branch export sales manager about the organization setup and sales resource requirement.
* Drive the annual, quarterly and monthly marketing plan input from your team and ensure the data quality.
* Recommend product development initiatives driven by knowledge of client needs to Line and Logistics management as appropriate.
* Analyze market and competition information and suggest to Line and Logistics management for setting up correct policy to ensure Maersk will stay competitive in the market.
* Identify the logistics potential of clients and recommend the same to the Regional Key Client Management team.
* Monitor execution of the sales plan. Meet and exceed the business targets outlined in your KPI's.
* Identify and develop potential Global and Area key clients within your sales coverage as per the overall client strategy and customer segmentation in coordination with the Key Client management.
* Systematically and constructively feedback to the product owners based on the findings in the market and from the customers to improve the services of Maersk.
* Assist Ningbo branch export sales manager in the process of customer segmentation as per the guidelines on customer segmentation and sales channels.
* Initiate cross team/function communication to ensure optimal sales/operational process in place to maintain high service standard.
* In collaboration with other colleagues in the same sales office (but not limited to) ensure best practices are shared and trade/industry knowledge are shared.
* Own and execute your individual sales competency development plan developed with your immediate supervisor as per the findings from the potential analysis aim to improve your sales competency.
* Propose and monitor the sales training as per the findings of the potential analysis.
* Establish and monitor the execution of E-commerce strategy to promote E-solution to the direct sales clients.
* Prepare and pre-plan your sales visits, timely feedback customer information to the service delivery teams and the sales support, update relevant reporting system daily with good data quality.
* Be responsible for building knowledge and skills in the team to deliver the line volume and revenue targets.
* Provide timely and accurate input of space/equipment forecasting for direct sales clients.
* Participate the conference and sales meeting as required and follow the guideline from the company.
* Effectively handle sales related internal and external visitors in close coordination with local Line and MLOG offices.
* Provide input to the monthly account specific sales report and other Ad-hoc reporting required.
* Prepare ad-hoc performance figures for specific clients/trades/sales activities when requested
* Handle sales related internal and external visitors.
* Administer the sales email queue including distribution within team
* Prepare ad-hoc presentations for clients and internal visitors.
* Prepare contracts and agreements.
* Monitor outstanding freight.
* Handle free time requests and claim cases.
* Receive the appraisal from your direct supervisor and give your input to the supervisor based on the guideline of the company.
