Maersk Group, Corporate Real Estate Management, is looking for a new Regional Portfolio Manager to join our Shanghai-team. You will be a key part of an ambitious global team based in Copenhagen with additional colleagues Mumbai.

We Offer:
You will be our Corporate Real Estate expert in Asia-Pacific and you will build an extensive understanding of the company through close cooperation with the various Maersk Business Units (Maersk Line, APM Terminals, Damco, etc), managing a portfolio of 100+ offices and warehouses exceeding 600[AKR1] ,000 sqm in total.

Key responsibilities:
You will be responsible for:
Leading office and warehouse leasehold negotiations and city optimization projects
Participating in freehold sales and sales/lease back projects of various property types
Being the focal contact point for key senior stakeholders in the Business Units we serve
Solving complex business problems in a structured and analytical manner, e.g. project management and negotiations
Conducting deep dive financial analysis and effectively communicating the conclusions, e.g. making executive summaries of possible strategies


You will take a leading role in projects for different Maersk Business Units across your region. You will be exposed to a variety of real estate related tasks and will work with stakeholders on various levels in the organisation. You will have significant responsibility and will be held accountable for results.

The overall real estate strategy targets reductions in office expenses and asset optimisation, while securing efficient and effective workplaces for our good colleagues. Typical projects include office relocations/optimizations, divestment projects, project management and space optimisation, but you will come across many different projects. It is paramount that you are able to work both independently and in collaboration with the wider Corporate Real Estate Team, e.g. our workplace architects.
You position and tasks offer a unique opportunity to create a strong network across the entire Maersk organisation and further develop your strong commercial understanding and business acumen.

Who we are looking for:

We are looking for a candidate with 3-6 years of Corporate Real Estate related experience from Asia-Pacific, preferably from a multinational corporate or consultancy. You have a legal, finance or business related education; ideally combined with a real estate related degree/designation like CoreNet MCR or MRICS.
You need to possess refined communication and interpersonal skills. You are open-minded - maybe a change leader - and you challenge both your surroundings and yourself. You have a strong personal drive, result orientation and you are able to positively impact the wider Real Estate team.
We believe in continuous improvement and learning which means that you can expect to participate in relevant courses and real estate related conferences.
You report to the Head Indirect Category Management Asia, Burkhard Kay on a daily level and interact with the Global Head of Corporate Real Estate, Allan Kehlet Rieck and/or the central CRE team on strategic projects.
Some business travel must be expected but it should not exceed 40 days per annum.
