Your mission
To strengthen our Business Development on Components, Dorel Juvenile China (DJC) is looking for an experienced Buyer Sewing, who will plan and execute activities across supplier management, product development, order fulfillment and quality assurance, through input from the Business development manager.

In this position you report to the Business Development Manager Components.

Key responsibilities
As Buyer Sewing, you will be responsible all costing evaluation, schedule management of new product development, refresh and transfer, and working with suppliers to ensure all business terms and negotiations are within the agreed signed documents. You also should be required to ensure that all pricing target complaining with the company objectives. Together with the responsible supplier management team, this role is maintaining the supplier capacity constant reports and contingency plan updates.

Furthermore you will
? Work with Dorel global market partners and the DJC finished goods business development team to determine the sourcing requirements to start the supplier sourcing activities;
? Source and develop suppliers to fulfill the supplier matrix, accrediting and training suppliers to meet global markets demands;
? Manage and review the supplier costing process and validating with division fashion/planning/buyer to approve or drop;
? Initiate Supplier Audit (Dorel Audit Team, BD Plus PQE);
? Management Supplier Guide / MCA, new supplier set up as well as audit reporting to support the division supplier system set up;
? Group validation with the Dorel Juvenile global markets, for new supplier quality approval;
? Entry point to allocate NPD Request (including Type A,B,C, D & refresh/collection) to suppliers;
? Initiate Transfer Cost Analysis, refresh/collection costing analysis, new development costing review & analysis;
? Transfer demand originates from Dorel Juvenile Global Markets or DJC due to Price, Capacity, Quality or new Supplier opportunities;
? Program management milestone tracking;
? Supplier capacity review and contingency planning;
? Responsible for all cost negotiation, provide negotiation/approved/reject/drop result to division update and confirmation;
? Work with Dorel Juvenile global markets and DJC finished goods partners to establish demand for vendor utilizing agreed capacity;
? Manage the DJC Soft Component Supplier Chain order allocation in order, capacity management.




Your profile
As a Buyer Sewing, you have:
? College degree or above in ‘business management’ or ‘engineering/hard goods industrial sourcing management’ or any close related discipline is required;
? Minimum of 5 years working experience obtained in relevant industries, preferably in metal/hardware, plastic, toys or automotive accessories products;
? Strong business planning/sourcing background in understanding of hard goods industrial business needs, manufacturing & planning;
? Sounds knowledge of pattern, fabric, sewing, software manufacturing and processes;
? Experience with supplier / price management, schedule monitoring, product BOM analysis, capacity planning & contract negotiations;
? Experience with business development/management of hard goods, suppliers or buying offices.
