Buyer Finished Goods, Shenzhen (China)

Your mission
To strengthen our Business Development on Safety Category, Dorel Juvenile Asia Sourcing Operation (DJASO) is looking for an experienced Buyer, Safety Category, who will be responsible for the sourcing and business development of dedicated category cross functionally, identifying and creating opportunities on the supplier market in Asia, translating the business goals and strategies into both long and short term action plans, delivering a concrete supplier base in accordance with the business needs, ensuring essential suppliers’ performance and supply.

In this position you report to the Buyer Manager Finished Goods.

Key responsibilities

As Buyer, Finished Goods, you will be responsible for:

? Build, develop & rationalize the supplier matrix to facilitate global categories positioning, pricing, quality, capacity and market needs
? Build category business plan with Buyer Manager and convert to operational action plan
? Take the lead on all business development activities from a commercial perspective
? Work cross functionally to achieve business objectives
? New supplier introduction for Dorel business terms & conditions, qualifications, quality and testing charges’ requirements and flows
? Manage Vendor Profiles, Supplier, IP and Confidentiality Agreements
? Facilitate supplier audit (Dorel and customer specific) / renewal (by Dorel Audit Team or together with 3rd party) and final accreditation
? Sourcing for new product / sampling / price comparison from new and existing suppliers
? Sourcing for innovation, new ideas, technologies, materials and industrial schema
? BOM, quotation and price list management
? Analyze cost reduction opportunities and execution thereof
? Product transfer or establish secondary supply channel
? Work in conjunction with supply chain coordinators in solving immediate and long term critial capacity / delivery issues when they would potentially impact the business
? RGD agreement management and charge back negotiation in conjunction with Quality Team
? Manage Visitor itineraries, Visitor and Team Travel requirements
? Reporting to Buyer Manager Finish Goods.
Your profile
As a Buyer, Safety Category, you have:

? Bachelor’s degree or above in Business Administration, International Trade or related discipline
? Minimum 5 years of working experience and at least 3 years experience in similar role
? Strong background in sourcing and merchandising ODM/OEM engineered items.
? Proven experience in supplier sourcing, development, continuous improvement, driving change and developing meaningful results orientated relationships with suppliers
? Infant, juvenile, toy related product experience is an advantage.
? Understanding of European and American Testing Standards desirable
