JOB DESCRIPTION - COSTS ENGINEER.

MISSION:

To manage products cost breakdowns from the earliest stage of each development until mass production and to optimize costs by developing new suppliers, improving construction, standardizing parts, etc.

REPORTING TO: CHIEF ENGINEERING MANAGER.

PEOPLE IN CHARGE: None.

RELATIONSHIP WITH: Product Engineers, Team Leaders, Suppliers..

MAIN TASKS:

· Managing Cost Breakdowns: Follow product development from the earliest stage by arranging cost breakdown structures. Keep product cost up-to-date during all stages until mass production.

· Cost Optimization: Work in cost structures of the product and optimize them by improving construction design, standardizing parts, developing new suppliers, etc.

· Supplier’s research and development: Search for new suppliers of key components. Work with suppliers by developing them in order to achieve our quality and cost target.

· HQ Purchasing assistance: Assist HEAD QUARTERs purchasing department for components PO placed to China supplier.

· MUST REPORT TO FOREIGN BOSS (ONLY IN ENGLISH)

DESIRED PROFILE:

· University Degree (Industrial Engineer) with at least 4 years of experience working in similar position or in purchasing department.

· Basic knowhow on related technical issues such as plastic injection process, general assembly knowledge, tooling development, etc.

· Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Power Point knowledge.

· Very good writing English (building reports, writing e-mails). Good spoken English level.

· Negotiation abilities.

· Methodic and organized.

· Hands on, responsible and willing to take new challenges.
