The position is set to support Cargo Control Manager in terms of tech-nical support and people management. To supervise the team members within the port range and achieve business targets apart from daily cargo execution and exceptions handlings.

Key Responsibilities
All key responsibilities of a cargo controller:
o Supervise execution of standard cargo processes performed at Global Service Centre for assigned vessel calls
? Backup SCEM tasks/maintain learning log

o Facilitate and optimize cargo flow
? Preplan transhipment/Clear long standings/Tight connec-tion

o Monitor Cargo operation progress during vessel berth
? Monitor TOMS

o Execute cargo contingency plan
? Cut & run/Omission/Phase in & out/Slide & tandem plan/Swap/Act per checklist

o Handle cargo related exceptional requests per SOP and au-thority matrix.
? Rolling/Call back/Load list update (last mi-nute)/COV/COD/hold/Ad-hoc deadline setting/Code regis-ter/Mal-functional reefer/DG segregation/Cargo leak-age/Early gate in/Late gate in/other exceptions

o Verify exceptional handling cost quotation and confirm expense under SOP and authority matrix

o Feedback enquiries and share cargo execution relevant infor-mation to commercial desks

o Coordinate vessel stowage planning and cargo operation on VSA partners vessels

o Exercise cost leadership and implement process improvement
? Implement cost saving/automation project / Maintain cost saving log as well as PONC log

o Implement FOE standard work and promote public information sharing platform
? Stand-up VMS update/Late gate & COV application maintenance / Maintenance of load list update on portal

o Handling emergency in the night shift in accordance with duty phone setup

Act on other tasks assigned by cargo control manager

Propose and set objectives of team members

Propose performance appraisal score of team members

Perform monthly 1-on-1 coaching / performance talk / annual ap-praisal

Manage OT/Leave/holiday duty for team members

Support team with expertise, circulate the best practice and provide trainings in cargo control team.

Investigate and analyze the defects in the execution process and work out solutions to fix the issue and prevent from reoccurrence.

Monitor critical control points to ensure high quality process deliv-ery.

Coordinate process improvement initiatives.

Backup team members on critical tasks when time presses and en-sure the overall execution processes operate.

Present as focal point in control team and coordinate incident han-dling and contingencies.
