Packaging Engineer(Housewares)

Basic Purpose:
? Manage physical packaging design on both individual and shipment packaging; and provide relevant technical support
? Manage shipment packaging declaration process
? Manage packaging development projects.

Job Duties:
? Develop and design the new packaging physical structure on both individual and shipment packaging for the best cost (manufacturing, material and transportation), user experience, manufacturability, durability and product protection.
? Technical support to NY and vendors
? Manage packaging reliability test and validation process, such as user test, drop test, material strength test etc. for both individual and shipment packaging.
? Manage Drop Test Declaration process
? Manage physical quality issues of packaging
? Educate team and vendor on the packaging engineering

Requirements:
? Degree or above in the physical design, packaging design or related field.
? Familiar with different packaging materials, printing technology and packaging design process.
? At least 5 years solid working experience in packaging and development works.
? Familiar with different kind of packaging methods and materials. Capable to design complex packaging from zero with creative mind.
? 360 design talent with sensitivity in cost, user experience, manufacturing process, durability and transportation conditions of both individual and shipment packaging.
? Professional experience in the test and validation of packaging structure design of both individual and shipment packaging.
? Familiar of international packaging standards/ requirements such as ISTA, bursting, ECT etc.
? Well understanding of production process of packaging materials.
? Familiar with professional physical packaging design process and software such as AutoCAD, Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop. Experience in Pro-E or ArtiosCAD is preferred.
? Good communication capability in English.
? Work independently and willing to travel in China occasionally.
? Good at team work, willing to take responsibility and embrace challenge.
? Candidate with experience of handing major store customers in US and EU is considered in priority.
