职位描述
Purpose of the position
The position of “Logistics Solution & Tender Management Manager, CCN & NCN” is designated to be responsible for below tasks and assignments in the regions of Central and North China.
- In charge of solution development with competitive leading edge for Logistics Major Projects based on key customer requirements / knowledge and operational difficulties and niches in pertinent area.
- Manage and improve the Contract Logistics Products in line with the market trends and customers’ demands.
- Develop and optimize the engineering and modelling tools to enhance the competence and accelerate the work efficiency; keep tracking on IT system in consistent with most advanced market trends and practices.
- Ensure a clear and well managed pipeline together with M&S team in terms of all logistics relevant and pertinent RFP/RFQ/RFI and conduct the work for a professional response.
- Lead and manage a team of highly effective and productive logistics solution & tender management assistant manager and supporting staff.
Key Tasks
Solution Design Development
? Conduct and work for the proposal development in consistent with Value Proposition to present the competitive leading edge in each bidding activities for contract logistics project in terms of the deliverables of flexibility, reliability and visibility.
? Manage the work cycle involving a series of activities of proposal preparation with essential factors of data collection, service requirement clarification, commercial conditions, resource model & cost model (ABC model) and quotation, etc. for proposal development.
? Maintain the data base for engineering and modeling tools for resources selection and collection in regard of various demands; build up the smart solution in accordance with internal current practices.
? Innovatively develop and optimize the logistics engineering tools and skills to increase the work productivity for daily practices.
? Actively involvements in the project implementation in early stage after business awarded to ensure the smooth handover to project implementation team and operation team.
Tender Management
? Manage a clean pipeline of Logistics business to concentrate efforts on high win-ratio bids and ensure all activities are seriously in accordance with company strategy.
? Deliver regular workshop with China country M&S team per each Industry Vertical to ensure the sales focus and correctly driving forward.
? Involve the initial development phase to actively identify sales opportunity of contract logistics to tell the possibility and conduct on the track of bid response from the very beginning.
? Provide relevant and pertinent product training to update the China M&S team with most update logistics product and essential market trend in logistics area.
Team Management
? Build up the team competence with best-class logistics solution capability and engineering skills.
? Manage the team performance and works in terms of team and personnel target / KPI.
? Make the plan and courses to the team for constant training program in consistent with the market technology forwards and work compliance.
Function / Market & Industry Knowledge / Business Acumen / Process working
? Deep knowledge of China local logistics market in terms of strategic and tactical view of CoG (Centre of Location) analysis, various logistics models and market trends.
? Recognized sense of knowledge on logistics business judgment and identification.
? With good understanding and knowledge of P&L analysis in the view of macro annual budget as well as micro project base.
? Excellent project management capability in regard of internal working processes for a whole bidding work cycle.
? Extended network of local suppliers in terms of all related functions of landlord, equipment & apparatus, and service providers to be possibly selected for subcontractor.
Skills & Competencies
- With proved team leader work experience for people management and manage the team member to achieve the target and goals.
- Recognized capability to take the leadership role of internal project management which engages cross functional teams for achieving specific business target.
- Expert of logistics solution work in regard of:
- Skillful utilization of the modeling tools, such as resource, cost model and layout design applications.
- Deeply understanding of the model components and working mechanism.
- Strong knowledge of warehouse operational productivity and procedures and costing components.
- Familiar with and good knowledge of WMS functionality in terms of In/outbound handling process design, inventory management, reporting and EDI connection access, etc.
- Familiar with the general finance knowledge for P&L analysis, project base Income statement work sheet components and mechanism.
- Good ability to select the best solution by leveraging the operation excellence and finance outcome per project base.
- Good knowledge of local customs operation procedure and trade compliance to assist in the bonded operations.
- Excellent communication skills and commercial sense for customer communication and business judgment.
- Proved work tracks of can-do and diligent professionalism through the whole career life.
- Energetic, hands-on (warehouse operation), self-managed & result-driven.
Educational background / Work experience
- Min 8 years working experience in contract logistics field, incl. min. 3 years in relevant solution design positions, proven success track record in business development.
- Proven cross-cultural team management skills.
- Good communication skills, international mindset able to work with overseas clients & colleagues.
- Team-player: able to work with peers of diverse background.
- Clear understanding of WMS capacities.
- Extrovert personality with strong relationship building capabilities.
Language skills
- Good Mandarin
- Fluent in English (verbal and written)
Computer Literacy
- Experience of logistics modeling and utilization of design tools (ex: CLASS, CAD and CAST, etc.)
- Proficient in MS office, specialism in EXCEL, PPT, VISIO and WORD etc.
