Job description

The IBM Platform SaaS Software Developer will be a member of a global team working closely with the architect, requirements manager, and other software developers to lead the design and implementation of new features and functionality for the service. Focused on the HPC cloud enablement on SoftLayer.

Responsibility:

Performs investigation, design, and implementation of medium to complex sized de-velopment projects independently and leading a small team

Supervises and reviews projects done by other developers to ensure correctness, completeness, and relevance.

Contributes to technical decisions through research and evaluations of technology.

Interacts with the requirements manager, clients, and others in the field for various purposes including gathering requirements, product demos, and resolving technical is-sues.

Prepares and writes technical documentation such as content to be included in the documentation of the service and training materials

Required skill:

Completion of Computer Science/Computer Engineering Degree

1-2 year experience working on complex software development projects

Familiar with Python/Perl and cloud related development

Has UNIX/Linux operating system knowledge and computer networking experience.

Excellent communication (verbal and written) and interpersonal skills

Required

Bachelor's Degree
