.Purpose and Summary of position:

Responsible for the daily IT security operational activities and processes across the Celanese sites in China, including enforcement of data protection and networking policies.

Primary responsibilities are related to China based on global IT security direction and include:

1. Manage data and network security from a holistic and risk management approach providing guidance and direction for resources and projects in China.
2. Support Business initiatives in China including, but not limited to, the development of new products, M&A activities, and Vendors assessing the security and compliance needs for those activities.
3. Provide support for the other IT global security team members.
4. Assist with implementation of new and/or changes to policies, guidelines, processes and security tools as needed for the company and specific to China.
5. Monitor and report any and all activities related to possible IT security incidents.
6. Lead IT security contact at site and for network infrastructure at Asia locations.
7. Ability to assess information security risks and provide guidance in mitigating risks, including conducting periodic audits related to IT security compliance.
8. Remain current on the cyber security environment in China with regards to the threats, best practices, key resources, etc. and to educate key company leaders regarding those findings.
9. Promote global IT security training, awareness, and compliance to Celanese Policies across all sites in China. This includes Intellectual Property protection and Data Privacy Laws & Regulations along with compliance to China related policies and regulations as needed.
10. Occasional travel to Beijing and Nanjing and other potential Asia sites for periodic IT security compliance audits.

Candidate must have:
1. In depth knowledge of Network Security concepts and Systems Infrastructure Architecture
2. Experience with IT concepts, technologies, terms and services
3. Work experience as an IT Security professional is required
4. Experience working in China required
5. Communication skills -Proficient in speaking, reading, & writing in English; Able to communicate verbally in Chinese preferred
6. Ability to conduct presentations
7. Proficient in MS office applications

Minimum 7-10 years of Network Security and Application experience.
Candidates for this position should hold a Bachelors 'degree or equivalent in Information Technology or equivalent experience with at least 7-10 years 'experience within the IT industry. Possesses certification such has CISM, CISSP, CISA is preferred.

The Candidate must have a proven record of successful implementation of IT security related initiatives.
