A Developing production methods and technologies

1 Initiating, controlling and implementing process optimization and standardization within the area of responsibility, together with the specialist departments involved

2 Preparing and updating guidelines for materials and processes as well as tooling and assembly for product development, production planning, production, and quality assurance if appropriate, in agreement with the superior

3 Implementation of further developments specific to the specialist area in the production process in agreement with the superior and cooperation with those responsible (e.g. production planning, factory service)

4 Definition of technical requirement profiles for materials and process combinations and/or tooling and assembly combinations for new applications; determining, selecting and defining suitable combinations, taking economical, ecological and health & safety aspects into consideration, in agreement with the superior and the specialist departments involved

5 Analyzing problems in the areas of materials and processes and/or tooling and assembly in the production process as well as preparing solutions and concepts and/or suitable investigative methods; evaluating and interpreting the results of investigations and documenting them if appropriate in cooperation with those responsible (e.g. production engineering)

6 Analyzing and documenting knowledge gained in order to transfer it to new applications.

B Projecting, development and commissioning of complex manufacturing equipment

1 Clarification and definition of the requirements with the client; analysis of design costs for preparing manufacturing and testing equipment

2 Preparing solution concepts; checking for technological, functional and financial feasibility; explaining concepts and selecting the optimum solution in agreement with superiors, specialist departments and ordering positions

3 Taking new and modified manufacturing equipment into operation; coordination of acceptance tests and elimination of faults in cooperation with the positions responsible

4 Preparation of customer's specification for the production and procurement of complex manufacturing equipment

C Supporting production and process engineering

1 Monitoring the technologies used and production engineering possibilities during the manufacturing process, undertaking optimization

2 Analyzing main faults/reasons for faults as well as their elimination, together with those responsible

3 Carrying out (technical) work sequence and system planning e.g. preparing layouts

4 Determining and planning capacities for machines, systems and jigs

5 Triggering orders for the design, production, modification of operating equipment including updating service for operating equipment and monitoring budgeting

6 Preparation of standards for operating equipment or device parts for sequence optimization

7 Carrying out the continual improvement process in the complete process chain

Jiaxing Hella Light Co,Ltd is a new program Hella Group launched in Jiaxing Economic&Technological Development Zone, which mainly provides the headlights, taillights, frog lights and other kinds of automotive lights to the medium and high level automotive manufacturers like Shanghai Volkswagen and Shang GM. The company was founded in Jul 2012,with registration capital RMB200 million. And the new factory is under construction and the total area is 56 thousand square kilometers. It’s estimated to put into production in Aug 2013 and the annual output could be more than 2200million. Then it will be the biggest Hella factory in China.
