职位描述
1. Leads and manages step change improvements in Operations, applying best practices for optimization of existing process flows for such activities as WPO (Work Place Organization), SMED (Single Minute Exchange of Die), batch cycle time reduction, Quality at the Source, scrap reduction, Autonomous Maintenance, etc. utilizing appropriate change management methodologies.
2. Leads cross functional teams in continuous improvement activities and works closely with Quality and Engineering support teams to ensure that objectives are achieved meeting organizational production objectives/scorecard, GMP’s (Good Manufacturing Practices), safety standards and other KPI’s (Key Performance Indicators).
3. Analyzes departmental efficiencies (labor and machine) and is directly accountable for the implementation of departmental methods, procedures, and standards to meet the overall goals of increased yields and labor efficiencies while decreasing the cost of goods sold and equipment downtime. Leads problem-solving initiatives and error-proofing exercises to improve production machinery reliability.
4. Manages the overall training plan and program which designs, develops, implements and facilitates technical training programs which support Manufacturing Operations. This includes training of all employees as well as re-training of materials or programs as required. Plays a key role in identifying and strengthening career path development within Manufacturing Operations. Analyzes and trends opportunities for improving skills and knowledge.
5. Manages the resolution of quality related production issues providing innovative solutions and investigates alternative processes. Drives continuous improvement initiatives utilizing scientific methodologies such as Cause & Effect, FMEA (Failure Mode Effect Analysis, PDCA (Plan, Do, Check, Act), 5 Why’s, etc. Makes recommendations regarding capital expenditures, major policy or procedure changes, continuous improvement and long range plans to the Director, Production Operations.
6. Performs standard managerial duties such as subordinate counseling, preparation of departmental reports and budgets, and participation in overall Production Operations change, strategy and planning activities. Selects, trains, develops, motivates, counsels and rewards staff to assure achievement of operational goals.
7. Other temporary tasks assigned by supervisor.
Relevant knowledge Required:
1.3 years of practical job experience (preferably in a Lean MFG environment). Preference will be given to those who possess an excellent manufacturing or process engineering background, a superior mechanical aptitude and proven trouble-shooting skills.
2.Knowledge of Lean manufacturing principles/processes, procedures and machinery, material handling and conveyance, packaging and logistics.
3. Demonstrated ability to apply systems perceptive to all activities, in order to optimize the entire product flow (i.e. drive out silo thinking).
4. Must possess a thorough knowledge of manufacturing regulations in order to conduct routine housekeeping and GMP walk-thru, monitor SOP compliance, monitor safety compliance and implement corrective actions.
5. Must possess excellent oral and written communication, interpersonal and analytical skills in order to interact effectively with assigned personnel and both internal and external contacts.
6. Must possess the ability to interact effectively with all levels, and all positions, within organization.
7. Must possess the ability to demonstrate task management and timeline control for multiple projects.
8. Must possess Six Sigma Black Belt or Green Belt.
9. Must possess passion for excellence in people, processes and analytics. This is a hands-on position that will require a self-motivated, high energy level individual.
