JOB SUMMARY

The Soft Goods Business Developer plans and implements product development and sourcing strategies through input from the GM category& Product Development & Strategic Purchasing Manager, The role has management responsibility for all DJC division, external suppliers and collaboration with other Dorel groups.

They will be accountable for all costing evaluation, schedule management of new product development, refresh and transfer; and working with suppliers to ensure all business terms and negotiation are within agreed signed documents. He/she should be required to ensure that all pricing target complaining with division PPV goal.

PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES


1. Work with division fashion/planning/buyer for sourcing requirement to start supplier sourcing.
2. Source and develop suppliers to fulfill the supplier matrix, accrediting and training suppliers to meet global division demands.
3. Manage and review the supplier costing process and validating with division fashion/planning/buyer to approve or drop.
4. Initiate Supplier Audit (Dorel Audit Team, BD Plus PQE)
5. Management Supplier Guide/ MCA, new supplier set up as well as audit report to support the division supplier system set up.
6. Group validation with division for new supplier quality approval.
7. Entry point to allocate NPD Request (including Type A,B,C, D & refresh/collection) to suppliers.
8. Initiate Transfer Cost Analysis, refresh/collection costing analysis, new development costing review & analysis.
9. Transfer demand originates from Division or DJC due to Price, Capacity, Quality or new Supplier Opportunies.
10. Lead the product development process for all Refresh and Transfer.
11. Lead NPD PP meeting.
12. Responsible for all cost negotiation, provide negotiation/approved/reject/drop result to division update and confirmation.
13. Work with division to establish demand for vendor utilizing agreed capacity.
14. Manage the DJC Soft Component Supplier Chain order allocation in order, capacity management.

JOB REQUIREMENT
EDUCATION / EXPERIENCE:

1. College degree or above in “Business Management” or “Fashion/Appreal/Soft goods industrial souring management” required.
2. 5 years working experience in relevant industries, preferably in garment, toys or automotive sew products.
3. The ideal candidate must have a strong business planning/sourcing background in understanding of soft goods industrial business needs, manufacturing and planning would be good to have, able to manage and monitor the whole product development process.
4. Training and developing suppliers. Supplier and risk management would be plus.
5. Good communication in both English and Mandarin.

SKILLS:

1. Supplier sourcing, developing, accrediting, training, matrix building.
2. Sounds knowledge of apparel/fashion/sewing manufacturing, and processes.
3. Price management, negotiation would be must.
4. Experience in business development/management in soft goods, suppliers, or buying office.
5. Experience schedule monitoring
6. Project management and independently task performing.
7. Experience in product BOM analysis.
8. English ability CET 4 or above mandatory
9. Good oral communication in English and Mandarin.
10. Willing to Travel mandatory
11. Good at office
