Purpose & general responsibilities of the position:
· Support and work with guidance from leader perform following tasks
· Ensure timely and quality functional support to WHZ Sales Team and organization as a whole, as well as other internal stakeholders, to fulfill the team overall KPI.
· Support / sustain WHZ sales by providing marketing support, standardization of sales process and applying best practices.
· Sales performance measurement process implementation through successful establishment and application of the structured measurement system and make ensure same is aligned with goal set by East China Sales management team.
· Facilitate and assist sales support manager to conduct proactive communications and follow up for execution with WHZ sales organization for important business related tasks with effectiveness.
Specific responsibilities of the position:
· Assist WHZ Team to perform following tasks
· Provide timely and quality day to day support to the WHZ Team. Make sure daily support is provided with structure and high visibility.
· Support Control Sales as a touch point for Maersk Line export, cross trade and import business from non-controlled customers, handling daily issues with client's local offices.
· Update client owners on WHZ market and competition in situation of pricing, equipment, allocation and space, local surcharges.
· Drive Maersk line market share through close collaboration between origin and destination.
· Address sales weekly/monthly performance measurement issues through closely working together with team members.
· Draft necessary performance measurement reports to trace key developments.
· Ensure processes and standard operating procedures are in place relating to sales functions within the team.
· A professional support sales manager and sales handling of overseas client visitors and their local agents to keep rapport relationship.
· Support WHZ Sales to increase customer satisfaction & loyalty.
· Assist in projects, initiated by PRESALPFM and other business units, which have commercial consequences and would add value to customers.
· Outcome of ad-hoc studies/analyses can then be used as foundation to build or expand business strategies and sales focus.
· Explore and share the best sales practice with team and department on a continue basis.
Measurement / success criteria of the position:
· Your ability to achieve the targets as outlined in the KPI's.
· Timely and proactive support to the WHZ Team.
· Smooth measurement process implementation through proactive and efficient communications in WHZ Team.
· Propose sales performance improvement initiatives and addressing related sales performance measurement issues.
Learning opportunities in the position:
· Understand market and customer drivers.
· Ability to coordinate and assist sales team in selling carrier products.
· Improve understanding of how best to generate profit for Maersk Line.
