VIKING is one of the market leaders of marine life saving and fire fighting equipment to vessels and offshore installations. The company enjoys a strong market position in Asia, where the presence with the primary regional offices in Shanghai and Singapore are keys to driving the sales respectively the service network in the region.

We are looking to expand our Chinese sales team in Shanghai with a Chinese sales executive to handle ship yards primarily in Shanghai, Jiangsu and Zhejiang.

The ideal candidate has several years of experience with sales and distribution in China, and knowledge of the business environment in the marine industry.


SALES EXECUTIVE, China – extract of job description:

The position is based in Shanghai and reports to the Senior Sales Manager responsible for the above mentioned territory. Responsibilities include:

Shipyards
? Develop efficient relationship management with key stakeholders
? Develop the commercial goals for your customers and devise relevant actions to ensure maintenance respectively further develop VIKING’s market share
? Proactively follow and report market developments with regards to supply/demand, pricing, technology, innovation, cost competitiveness, standards, public relations
? Generate leads for possible new business opportunities
? Prepare and signing Technical Agreements
? Obtain general market information, especially in relation to VIKING’s products
? Propose new initiatives or actions to be developed by VIKING to profitably provide additional services or products
? Work towards establishing VIKING as THE regional expert within Marine Life-Saving Equipment

General
? Looking out for additional business opportunities within VIKING’s product supply scope and capitalize on these when they arise;
? Securing that you are up to date with information, education, training and knowledge enabling you to perform in the best possible way.
? Contribute to guidelines for the marketing activities, sales calls, advertising, and other sales and promotion activities and expenses, and determining which product areas, segments etc. to concentrate on in order to obtain maximum sales, contribution margin and profit.

You are expected to conduct business in a manner, which enhances the image of VIKING as a premium brand of high integrity and reliability. Further, that you are a team player and have a positive, ‘can do’, professional and helpful attitude towards colleagues and customers, both in and out of the office.
