Scope:
The product engineer shall be responsible for serial production of products for assigned customer and projects.

Main objectives:
The main objective is to secure that product is built according to customers requirements and fulfilling Kitron needs.

Responsibility and authority:
The position has responsibility and authority as follows:
Technical responsible for assigned products
Calculate process times and NRE cost during RFQ process
Finalizing routing and work instructions in ERP and MES systems
Product unique manual process improvements for assigned products
Agree and introduce technical changes in production documentation for assigned products
Approving technical reports to customer
Evaluation of transfer from pre-serial version to serial manufacturing
Responsible according to Kitron's Ethical Code of Conduct
Quality of own work carried out
Comply with requirements according to procedures in the quality system

Main working tasks:
Main tasks include the following:
RFQ process,
Calculate process time
Gather information from process engineers for NRE cost
Present process material,tool,NRE costs

Introduction into serial manufacturing:
Set up Routings
Perform training for operators related to producibility
Manufacturing Instructions
Prepare incoming inspection instructions with help of other specialists
Handshake from prototype to pre-serial manufacturing with configuration
Handshake for pre-serial manufacturing

Regular manufacturing:
Manufacturing Pre-calculation and Post-calculation
Product specific tools and equipment in manual assembly processes
Product specific training
Follow up of ECO's
Comply with environmental requirements
Participates in the creation of the DMR to medicine products, and ongoing maintenance
Contact person for technical related questions to KAM and customer
Comply with all Kitron and local procedures applicable to the job function, work regulations and Code of Conduct
Identify opportunities and implement actions to reduce wasted time, money and resources from assigned tasks
To continuously monitor risk, improve processes and increase efficiency
To interface with other process functions when applicable and relevant
Participation in company projects and performing other by management delegated tasks related with the direct duties.

Qualifications and competence requirements:
Formal competence:
Bachelor or Master Degree in manufacturing, electronics or mechatronics engineering.
Lack of formal education may be substituted by relevant work experience.
Good English skills

Professional skills:
Good knowledge in electronics production
Knowledge in electronics production standards
Experience with ERP system

Personal skills:
Interpersonal skills including; high collaboration with others.
Ability to work with challenging deadlines and frequently changing priorities.
