This position is responsible for leading the initiatives in performing calibration, instrumentation and controls preventive maintenancetroubleshooting, corrective maintenance and maintain cGMP and EU compliance of process controls and instrumentation
Accountabilities
Participate as a team member with other groups in Plant Service's to provide technical support relating to Maintenance, Engineernig, and Safety activities and projects.
Supervise technical staff personnel to see that calibration work is done in a safe and efficient manner.
Coordinate work with other maintenance supervisors, assign personnel to work tasks, and schedule work with production schedules.
See that necessary tools, instruments, and materials for work are available.
Train all BIVI personnel at all sites on importance of calibration and preventive maintenance in a GMP environment.
Be capable of working in a GMP regulated environment
Be active in writing, establishing, and reviewing preventive maintenance, calibration, and process control procedures
Be a technical resource for implementation and usage of PM, Calibration, and HEPA certification programs and databases at all sites
Manage calibration & maintenance information database so that data is readily available to authorized people. Technical resource/leader in CMMS continuous improvement process.
Oversee Calibration Department Cost Center Budget
Requirements
BS in related discipline with minimum 4 years of experience in related field
Minimum 2 years previous leadership experience
Proficiency in relevant computer software and programs associated with area.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Attention to detail and commitment to customer service
Required Skills
Effective interpersonal skills with a diverse group of individuals at all organizational levels
Extensive knowledge of electronics, electrical, pneumatics, hydraulics, mechanical, and control logic are required. Hands on experience are necessary. General knowledge of maintenance and construction of buildings, utility piping systems, production and facility machines. Ability to read drawings. Knowledge of machine tools. Extensive knowledge of cGMP and EU compliance requirements for Maintenance and calibration activities.
